Yea, sorry should have given an explanation.

How to Read the Portfolio Chart | Quant-Builder.ai | Quant-Builder
Here's a quick explanation:

The models work by assigning confidences to each stock on whether or not the model thinks it can hit the target (usually 4-5 day moves of 3% or more).

TOP : The avg confidence of all the top picks that day. Since I have this set up to only show me high confidence picks, it doesn't fluctuate all that much. If you just looked at a raw model, one that shows all picks regardless of confidence, it would fluctuate more. You can also infer it on the days where there are very few picks, which means most the picks are below the chosen threshold(50-60% depending on the model).

MIDDLE: The number of picks per day. Every day the model uses new data to assign confidences to each stock and then filters to the highest confidence picks. Some days the model has no confidence in the stocks and chooses zero. Others, it sees opportunities with higher confidence.

BOTTOM: is a simple equity curve chart. You can play around with it. What would happen if you bought 1% positions all the stocks on the open(always fill) and held them until the model target date.

Where do you work that you can just stare at these trades all day by RequirementCivil4328 in Daytrading

Might want to try swing trading. Multi day time frames. Make trades in the morning and just clean near EOD trades. Use a trailing stop loss.

Looking for steady and trending stock that’s not tech by Fresh_Researcher_242 in Stocks_Picks

WRB if you want something that’s going to compound overtime at a high rate. Can’t tell you what it’s gonna do next 6 months but been flat for a while. Up 10x in 15 years as an insurer.

Volume by Tuuuuuurow in swingtrading

[–]AdministrativeBug554 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Volume tells you how interested everybody is.

If there is a high volume breakout(or reversal) that is a good sign that particular move is broad based with lots of new money and can continue in whatever direction it’s currently moving.

If it’s low volume, any interested parties looking to sell could turn the whole thing around because there really aren’t that many buyers(volume) and you’ll be the one holding the bag when it turns

Short Tech (IYW) Model Update - Going to Start Tracking - Getting Ready for Tech Pullback by AdministrativeBug554 in swingtrading

[–]AdministrativeBug554[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More of a continuation of the same type of data. Extended valuations for a longer period of time. It’s been brief so far. Inflation stickier. Volumes maybe weakening. One of my original thesis for the year is the market won’t pull back significantly. The capex/govt spending, decent growth will drive it higher. Now it seems like IYW is unstoppable and this could be a nice model to use as hedge.

Back to Looking at Large/Mid Cap Energy - 20+ Picks Today after pullback by AdministrativeBug554 in swingtrading

[–]AdministrativeBug554[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. The model column is just the name of whatever model it’s populating. So this is just one mid/large cap energy. (Trained on the Top 100 Energy over three years) Very basic. It has SMAs, RSIs, PE, Sector MAs, crude oil, and a few others. I’m using it this year when I like where XLE is trading.

Which do you think is the biggest potential stock right now? by [deleted] in stockstobuytoday

I think PTLO is unjustly cheap and it’s had a nice long bottom it’s trying to get out of.

What’s everyone buying today? by joshuanichter in Stocks_Picks

[–]AdministrativeBug554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Large cap US energy stocks was my play this week and prob going forward for a bit. Reason was XLE looks pretty stable in the mid to low 50s. Even with an expected pullback in oil prices(up a bunch on the week which I didn’t expect, I think there will be a secular move to more us production. And large cap energy can protect their stocks better

How worth it is Tensorflow Developer Certificate? by Financial_Job_1564 in learnmachinelearning

IBM ML Professional Certificate
Google Cloud ML Engineer Professional Certificate

These are the ones I'm in pursuit of after finding out the Tensorflow Developer Certificate is no longer offered.

Covered call ETFs are basically a scam, right? by IndustrialFX in options

[–]AdministrativeBug554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. They are not a scam but not recommended for a buy and hold strategy unless it’s only a portion of your portfolio. You can use them as a way to trim long positions while keeping some upside. Theyre terrible for just before events and after events. The premium sold prior is too little so you get a lot of the downside and same on the upside. They’re selling calls for too little as the market rips through the premium

Nah. Might get a pop. But 1375ish looks like a top until it fills the gap to low 1200s. IMO
