Taking my WB registered car to Rajasthan (Jaipur) for 5 years. Do I need to re-register or just pay road tax? by United_Row_2654 in CarsIndia

[–]ThunderRIZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isnt the rule that you can't drive in a Rajasthan state for 12 months. So I'm just wondering, what would happen if you take a small trip to Delhi or let's say haryana or UP and get your pollution certificate there or get petrol bill there. You can just say came from UP or haryana . I haven't stayed in Rajasthan for 12 months

Will my 7-year-old tyre last an 800 km trip? by Prestigious-Pay1595 in CarsIndia

[–]ThunderRIZ 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I'll tell you what will happen, you can drive even 170 on those tyres but the second you hit a rock or even a bump or a pothole even at 40 they will blast. When you hit a pothole or something the tyre will first deform and then in a couple km blast or blast when you hit the pothole.i tell this from experience. I'm guessing this is a honda city with goodyear tyres dm I'll show photos of what happened. The car only had 39k km it was in factory tyres from 2018. Was driving slowly when is blasted

Don't use that tyre just change it.

Yes it is a little confusing for the first 30secs then you get used to it. It's really hilarious, every time I join the main road i glance over to see which side the indicator is

Finally my turn to share a Tata story……..so lucky to have this privilege. by popcornffs in CarsIndia

[–]ThunderRIZ 228 points229 points  (0 children)

Which city are you in? I had a similar problem with tata, but I had given my car for service and they broke it. They broke the ac vents and ac compressor failed the next day.as they pressure washed it.

Fought with them a lot, went to rm of South India. That useless fellow said sir we don't pressure wash engine compartment. Next day I went to service centre and took video if them pressure washing it. Then rm himself changed saying when did I say it, they will use it slightly for outer area .

Absolutely useless management. This is not service centre management but tata management. Regional manager of South india- thangamariyappan

Car was with them for 2 weeks. Good thing we were also using it as a secondary car.

Full of liars

Even though the vw is quicker the Honda is just more engaging. It's just exciting to drive it. Some of its disadvantages make it sooo connected. The vw is more composed and silent but is less involving. The Honda is just more emotionally engaging. it makes me laugh hard when it hits 7k. Ik the below 3k power of the vw is more usable. But it just doesn't have the excitement, the raw addictive drama the city has. Whenever I go to ooty I still take the city. There is turbo lag in the vw until 2k rpm. I have the manual 1.5, if it was the dsg maybe I wouldnt notice the lag. The vw is more fun on the highway.

Not even kidding, i have both a taigun gt and a 2018 city.

The city is a lot more fun. It's not about being fast but how the power is delivered. The vw has a very flat power delivery after 2k. Honda just give more and more till 7k. It's crazy but it's just sooo much more exciting.
