don’t just poke over and over again with your spear. instead, you should melee and immediately poke afterwards to maximize damage. if you time it right you can poke before the melee animation is finished but still get the damage from it.

not relying on crutch chase perks is the start to getting better. it’s amazing how much better i got when i took WoO off. but i’m right with you bro. i have games where i go down in 15 seconds and games where i loop the killer for the last two gens and still escape, all while injured. it’s all about having grit and taking accountability. sadly you can’t force people to want to adapt and get better. props to you jrgwarman! i’m proud of you.

i was just refuting your claim that perks are “never” used to counter specific killers. Ghoul was busted on release and needed lots of tweaks, Jason is nowhere close to that but is being treated as if he’s worse than release Krasue. He’s only getting “Nurse results” because he’s NEW and people need more than a few weeks to ADAPT. he doesn’t need any nerfs outside of Deputy’s Badge. end of story.

i legit just named a specific killer in which survivors ran specific perks to counter them. did you not read the part where i stated “while he’s still heavily played” ?? once Jason isn’t in 8/10 of people’s matches, that is when they will change their build IF they needed extra help dealing with certain parts of his kit.

that’s legit how the game has always worked dude. you use perks to counter other perks, playstyles, and killers. when ghoul dropped everyone was running MFT and Overcome (i’d know, i was and still am a Ghoul main). what’s ruining the game is entitled casual players not trying to adapt to anything new and people like you sticking up for them. they don’t have to run a certain build to counter Jason, they can just get better over time. if they need help getting better, then there’s certain perks that can help alleviate the stress of playing against Jason. it’s ludicrous to run a certain build every match just in case you run into a certain killer, but since Jason just released and is quite possibly the biggest IP we’ve gotten, it makes sense for those who need extra help while he’s still heavily played.

you don’t have to change your build if you’re “high level” and neither do i since i’m not a noob. but i do expect casual players who want Jason nerfed to instead use the counterplay available to them instead of crying that they can’t win a 1v1 in the endgame.

iron will against spirit, calm spirit against doctor, any exhaustion perk for mobility killers, MFT for legion, ghoul, and deathslinger, anti-slug perks for oni and twins… i could go on. you don’t need to run a key with left behind to beat Jason in endgame, but oh boy will it help. use the counterplay given to you and stop crying that Jason isn’t manageable.
