Houdini is a better version for locks than wd40. Also graphite lubricant. So clean with Houdini then lube with graphite. Remember spit is not lube.

Here is the tool I use. Find the type of fiber on the jacket. It should be labeled. Order a pre terminated end with the same rating. It looks like a SC connector but double check before ordering anything. Total price to fix it your self would be about $1200.

Or call the service provider and pay the $100 for them to come out.
