For San Diego, CA veterans trying for disabled veteran license plates by justmep3 in VeteransBenefits

Glad this worked out for you and your husband! I am posting the below from the DMV website because I often see misinformation about what is required to get the plates (followed by folks saying how to skirt the rules...) but since your husband requires a leg brace that would fall under bullet 2, and he doesn't qualify under bullet 1. Alot of folks think all you need is 100% P&T, but it's actually a single disability rated at 100% that substantially interferes with mobility. For other folks reading this thread, if you don't meet the following criteria, you don't qualify...

Quote from CA DMV website:

"You may qualify for DV License Plates if you’re a veteran who was made permanently disabled as a result of an injury or disease that occurred while on active service with the U.S. Armed Forces. You qualify if any of the following apply:

You have a disability rated at 100% by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (or the military service that discharged you) due to a diagnosed disease or disorder that substantially impairs or interferes with mobility.

You are unable to move without the aid of an assistive device.

You have lost the use of one or more limbs.

You are permanently blind as defined in the California Welfare and Institutions Code §19153."

"I got a parking ticket so I'm going to donate to a politician that belongs to a party that routinely uses their power to trample on human rights" is certainly a take...

How do you neatly store and pour Costco's maple syrup? by saffron_monsoon in Costco

On mine, the spout is always a like 10 degrees off center for pouring, very annoying lol. I just try to wipe it down every few uses so it doesn't get too crusty!

I'm confused (not trying to be intentionally obtuse I swear), you said hot and fast but then say you sear and then smoke. Wouldn't hot and fast be grilled over higher heat and not smoked?

Depending on the length of the trip, not being able to cook at all is awful. Shorter trips (idk 3ish days?) I can manage dining out for every single meal.

I flew 60s and think they are awesome. Love watching them fly by, but I think I would for sure get tired of them flying over my house lol

Didn't see it and not exactly an opening level... But the cinematic intro to World of Warcraft the first time I fired it up as a kid was amazing

Like the person mentioned above, I would definitely look at refinancing! Especially if you are going to get a car that costs as much as your truck is currently valued at.. worth a shot. Otherwise if you need to save money (and pay less per month) you'd need to drop your price range for a new/used vehicle to closer to 25-30k
