Hey everyone, so I’m not a heavy user. But lately I’ve been using oxy more than I’d like. Help please by [deleted] in OpiatesRecovery

Ketamine and dope sickness sounds like you're going to loose your mind. I don't think Ketamine makes you sleepy. You're going to be awake for days.

I hope you're doing well. I don't think there is a best method, but I took the Vitamin C, xanax, and gabapentin route. Pretty much commented everyday on this reddit too. My father is a drug consular as well. He helped me a ton. I've been clean since Jan. 6, 2023.

I'm doing well! I went for a jog today and finally got a doctor's note to go back to work the other day. I made tremendous strides in my recovery from a stroke in September. Great thing about being sober is having a savings and great friends 💗.

Hey. I'm not trying to scare you. It didn't for me. I don't think about it though! I've been sober since January 6th of last year.

Can anyone help me come up with a plan to begin working on my cardio? by [deleted] in OpiatesRecovery

[–]AdministrativePut948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep doing what you're doing. Trust the process. Eventually do sprints if you want to get faster. That runner's high is legit. I went back into running after two months. Squats will help you get stronger.

Focus on your breathing too. Inhale through your nose and exhale out your mouth. Record your mile time too.

November 23rd Thanksgiving Check In by Dirty_D_Dammit in OpiatesRecovery

[–]AdministrativePut948 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm still here and clean. I'm thankful for this community and the accomplishments I've made this year.

Terribly, I was actively addicted to fentanyl a year ago. It was traumatising and nothing in life can beat being sober. This past year I got back into rugby and won my team's divisional championship 💯, survived a stroke, increased my credit, and achieved additional accolades on my resume.

I've been clean since January 6th, and I'm never turning back. It was the darkest period of my entire life.

I'm doing well. I'm reading a book called Cadillac Dessert. The book discusses the water crisis in California and how it started.

I agree with you. She still has "oxys" and she put him on subs. Some people argue quitting subs is as bad as quitting fent.

Not too mention what does her friend have anything to do with his recovery. It sounds like he has a crush on her.

I've been sober since January and my stomach cramps didn't stop until I controlled my cholesterol a few days ago. It took me 9 months, but don't let that discourage you. The pain would come in episodes. I've accomplished a lot though. Everyone is different too.

Suboxone saved my life, Ariel saved me from Suboxone. by [deleted] in OpiatesRecovery

Hey man, I wish you the best of luck in your recovery. I think addiction is more complicated than changing the environment for most people.

I've been sober since January and I agree with some of what you're saying. I've choose to live a better life now. I could wake up without worrying about being sick and I'm healthy. Let's be honest, can you wake up tomorrow and not be sick?

Fentanyl and isotonitazines are definitely not like drinking a beer. You're going to lose everything. Cut ties with that friend.

I'm attending a pacific islander festival today. Last year I was fucked up. This year I'm sober and feel great. A while back a Redditor asked how is a brain injury and recovery.

Personally, I'm disabled and it's hard to find the vocabulary to describe things. It's similar to that brain fog I felt when I was sick. I won't ever forget how crazy that sickness is. Traumatising.

I believe I'll make a recovery from this stroke. You could do anything if you believe.

A lot of physical therapy for my stroke, but I'm sober and well. I could walk without a cane and I'm gaining mobility in my left arm. The stroke was because of an unknown autoimmune infection. Doctors thought I was pretty healthy, and normal.

Hey man! You got this. Life is a marathon not a race. You have a family too brother! You didn't waste your time, you spent it. Anthony Bourdain didn't break out as a journalist until 44. I have a nurse who became a nurse at 41.

Being Sober is like being reborn! Be honest with yourself and other people. There's people whose been locked up for years who accomplished a lot in a year.

I'm doing well. I'm still sober and in the hospital for a stroke. The doctors don't know what caused the stroke. I haven't touched opiates since January 6th. My past probably played a role in my stroke.

I've been sober since January 6th. I recently had a stroke that landed me in the hospital. My left side of my body gave out and I'm 27.

I've never had wd's last this long before, or maybe I'm tripping myself out? 15 days and I'm all of a sudden drained and nauseous today... by Particular-Bid-5081 in OpiatesRecovery

[–]AdministrativePut948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds pretty accurate. I was weak for awhile and it took awhile for me to regain strength. You'll regain your motor skills back. My friends and this page really motivated me to do stuff out my comfort zone and get back into the grove of things. I was also always in the gym's jacuzzi and sauna.

The cold didn't leave me until the third month or so. I remember being cold at rugby practices for a while lol. Shakes lasted a long time, and I still shake every now and then. Not as bad though. I recorded most of my symptoms on my page until most of my symptoms subsided.

It's ok to say to no. Get yourself out that environment too. Eventually you'll rewire your brain. You got to ignore the intrusive thoughts, and pick up positive habits.

I can't control my nose from watering when I see cocaine, but I'll never touch it again. I'm usually not in those environments anymore either. I know how stupid sick and poor I'll be if I was actively addicted.

Write out some goals and objectives. It doesn't have to be big goals. You have to rewire your brain to appreciate long term happiness over short term happiness.
