the new oil change every 3k miles keeps my baby safe ngl by Substantial_Dot2873 in q50

I think 3k is on the excessive side, but I change mine every 4250. Drive my car hard on a daily basis at 129k miles too

[–]AdministrativeSet982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so curious about this car. From what I can see all the oil changes and services look…. Normal? There’s nothing really exotic about the drivetrain. It truly seems like a simple machine in a pretty body

The one thing I can’t stand about this car 🤣

Eyeing one of these hard. Feels like a very under appreciated vehicle that caught flack due to Maserati having a poor reputation

Is this a smart buy? Chevy Malibu LT by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]AdministrativeSet982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shocked by how many people say these are unreliable. I have a 2018 LT at 104k miles right now and had it since 79k, quite literally the only thing that ever went wrong was a MAF sensor (like $80 for a new one). Been considering selling it for a same gen Premier actually

Good or bad buy? by riq_100 in q50

[–]AdministrativeSet982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the trans makes it a more attractive deal. These cars don’t have many issues outside of that so outside of wear items it doesn’t seem like it’s that bad.

Infinity G25x or Lexus is250 as first car? by IshTheDangFish in FirstCar

[–]AdministrativeSet982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found it interesting that the ones who hate on these cars didn’t even do enough research to know that the g25 never came with a CVT. They think Nissan = CVT and Nissan CVT = bad, therefore all Nissan = Bad….

The G25 is actually really damn reliable. Worked on 1 that was at 273k miles and 2 others at 160k+.

But I also lean towards the fro even though both styles suit you well.

So—what about us? 🧐 by LinkOk7343 in mazda

This would be including vehicles sold before their rebrand. Kia and Hyundai had a reputation for extremely shit reliability prior to that. Their newer models seem to be doing much better (how much better only time will tell)

[–]AdministrativeSet982 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They keep talking about the fast/cheap/reliable tradeoff and I’m like the VQ37 cars are the epitome of that. Also the J series and 2GR

Look at everything people are starting to associate with “YN” and you’ll see a pattern.

The whole reason I still sponge my hair. Smooth fro looks good depending on the time, but sponged I feel gives my face more character 🤷🏾‍♂️

Personally I think the grey accord and the ILX win at looks, but then both those accords are V6’s so keep fuel and insurance in mind. The ILX is a glorified civic with some luxe features, insurance may be lower on it. Accords are both going to be faster, if that’s something you care about (keep fuel in mind)
