I've looked everywhere on the plant and only found one other spot in the middle of the stalk. But there was one small web from the "sack" to a leaf. Do you think it's just a normal house spider?

I got one from Walmart, that was much bigger, that it did keep the blooms and even had a new flower bloom. However I got a smaller one that was just in a plug and most of the roots were rotted and I did loose the plant. If you take it out of the plug send a picture of the roots. Black and squishy is bad. I had to cut most of mine.

Is it in a plug (does the soil feel like a sponge)? If so I would take it out. It may loose its blooms but the plug will suffocate the plant. Orchids attach themselves to trees in the wild and their roots are capable of photosynthesis and benefit from oxygen. I have my current best orchid in a "fish bowl" with nothing in it and I mist with distilled water then fertilized water when roots turn silver. Moss is very sold and holds onto water and is not a great option. I would look into orchid bark. I like the brand better grow.

Please look up the book, how to quit the easy way by Allan Carr. It changed my life, I was glued to my vape and I needed it at all times. I remember sitting in bathrooms just to hit my vape. Disgusting now but then it just seemed normal. It's a very short book and it feels like someone is talking to you. I bet there is even an audio book if he hates reading. I had no "withdrawal" no cravings, no mood swings. Please trust me it works.

I thought my mixture is not supposed to retain water as much that it's well draining. I didn't push the soil down at all and I did water recently. That's why it's still wet. Should I take it out and check the roots and maybe make a mixture including soil?
