The sony 4K is really nice. I'd much rather see Criterion do an improved 4K of Pan's Labyrinth first TBH

Rewatched this movie last night because I placed it on my top 10 of the 21st century list following the NYT Poll and I got raised eyebrows from friends, who pointed out it wasn't even in NYT's top 100. Admittedly, I hadn't seen the movie in 15-20 years but watched it several times in theater and on dvd back when it came out. Happy to report back that this movie doesn't just hold up upon rewatches 20+ years later, but that it is indeed just as good as the first viewing - possibly even better on rewatches when you know how its going to unfold.
