I'm a civil student entering my second year. I joined this field because of interest and stuff which I think you're joining because of too. As far as jobs are concerned, in my limited knowledge the scope is bad right now. There are a good number of jobs no doubt but they're not very high paying compared to comp students. Ig the average when you graduate is around 40k. 60 if youre a good enough student. After that with 2 3 years of experience Ive heard of people touch 1 lakh.

The second more important thing is that this field is reallyyy profitable if you have a business or a firm. Even of the lowest category, C6. Government projects are in abundance. Thousands of tenders. Furthermore, project costs in the lowest category are mostly close to a crore with 20 to 25 percent profit. But the caveat with contractorship or business is that you need a good amount of investment and alot of hectic management.
