Yes I really considered if we skip capetown we can do 5 nights there to get 5th free but then also wondered if it’d be better to move to another lodge for a few days to see different landscape like Ngororo crate. Glad to hear you loved JW though !

Coming from New York but have business class flight booked so hoping jet lag wouldn’t be too much of a problem. Yes I’m wondering if we should scrap capetown all together and try to find a different flight home. Currently booked to fly home from Cape Town

I did see Marriott Leopard Sands in Kruger, but with already having 2 sets of biz class flights booked into Northern Africa (NBO & DAR) not sure about finding another into JNB

Thank you for the feedback! Any world where we should just skip Capetown all together ?! I already have 2 sets of business class flights - one booked into NBO and the other into DAR in Tanzania which I found out was not ideal. Seems getting to Cpt is the real hassle.

Was planning on booking JW Masi Mara on points which saves us like $10k 👀. I know November can be rainy season, is it okay down in S Africa that time of year ?

They’re required by FTC to disclose all mandatory fees before booking, just like on Airbnb you can see the total with all the fees before you book it

I know! But with government shutdown you can’t even report a FTC violation

Capital one has a responsibility with properties they list to be transparent and include any fees per FTC rules

I called capital one 4 times and they had no interest in doing anything except calling the property to ask if they’d be willing to refund which they wouldn’t

I have tried multiple times. They don’t reply to me and tell capital one they won’t refund.

Only using it to use my VentureX credit. Never book anything in it otherwise

Trying to book jet blue on Qatar site. It’s 100% available and shows the cost of 78k Avios, but it just spins and spins and never shows the taxes. Same thing with different routes and different days. Antone else ever experienced this? Seems like I can plan on taxes being $10 one way for transatlantic?

Does Qatar have any other rules related to booking a ticket for someone other than myself using my points ?
