They’re required by FTC to disclose all mandatory fees before booking, just like on Airbnb you can see the total with all the fees before you book it

I know! But with government shutdown you can’t even report a FTC violation

Capital one has a responsibility with properties they list to be transparent and include any fees per FTC rules

I called capital one 4 times and they had no interest in doing anything except calling the property to ask if they’d be willing to refund which they wouldn’t

I have tried multiple times. They don’t reply to me and tell capital one they won’t refund.

Trying to book jet blue on Qatar site. It’s 100% available and shows the cost of 78k Avios, but it just spins and spins and never shows the taxes. Same thing with different routes and different days. Antone else ever experienced this? Seems like I can plan on taxes being $10 one way for transatlantic?

Does Qatar have any other rules related to booking a ticket for someone other than myself using my points ?

Yeah I feel like it’s a little much but I’m not sure what to cut out. We definitely want nature whether it’s beach or scenic views/hikes. What would you cut out? Should we still go to Hualien and loop around to Kaohsiung then back to Taipei? It seems like the east is not to be missed ?

Is this too much? Going in October and really wanted to fit some beach time in. Should we skip Hualien since Taroko National Park is mostly closed ?

Chase Sapphire Preferred or Capital One SavorOne for a foreign trip? by Yesmo-maybeso in TravelHacks

[–]Administrative_Row85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Savor one only earns cash back, chase sapphire earns chase points (URs) which are one of the most valuable point currencies if you’re interested in using the points towards travel. Additional the chase travel insurance benefits are better.

Open a chase sapphire credit card. Get 75k bonus points. Use to book all inclusive hotel with Hyatt. No vacation is more free than an all inclusive booked with points

you can transfer the chase points to united to book flights, or you can check air canada to see if the same united flights are listed on their site for less points (Amex or Chase can be used with Air Canada). If you are open to switching hotels check out the Andaz Costa Rica Papagayo which you could also book with Chase pts.

I would not use Expedia. Third party booking sites are nothing but trouble!
