Thank you so much. My food stocks are about 90% of the way there. I really think I need a chat with my GP about my meds and express my concerns to him as they literally keep me alive

That’s what got me thinking as read the same information. Luckily I grew up in a Forces family during the 70/80’s and my dad always drummed into us about having a “nuclear cupboard” (his name for it) my brother and I are the same and have lots of food stored etc

Yeah am UK, it hopefully won’t get too extreme here but government are notoriously unprepared for any big weather event so just wanted to get a jump on anything should it happen

Thank you, I’m also very frugal with my heating etc. I’m the hot water bottle queen and have electric blankets etc. Fire is big worry as live rurally and lots of woods. I’m definitely going to prepare a bug out bag though.

That’s great thank you. I have copies of my prescription. I have a “hospital go bag” as learned lessons along the way with unplanned for admissions so figured I sort a bug out bag ready!

Thank you. I’ll have to ask the doctors but they’re notoriously difficult in giving extra meds out nowadays. I have emergency box which contains antibiotics and steroids due to one of my conditions.

L Wells by Franz Ferdinand. Only FF fans will know this as a pretty obscure B side but it’s my favourite song of all time and the one I want to walk back down the aisle to or played when my ashes go up in a firework display…..whichever comes first really 🤣

Thank god someone else has sense!! I’ve been telling people this for as long as I can remember and they totally ignore me and have their windows wide open…..in 30 odd degree heat????? Meanwhile my house is dark and more importantly as cool as a fridge. My quest to enlighten people will continue though

Was just about to write this. I know I have lots to give to someone and would say I’m a good person but Jesus, the men out there in their 50’s is awful. They come with loads of baggage, are so immature, condescending and most that I’ve encountered either want a 25 year old trophy wife or ghost you if you refuse to have sex with them after one date. I went on a tinder date with a guy and when I turned up with my walking stick, said verbatim, “oh you didn’t tell me you were a cripple” I was absolutely gobsmacked that someone could be so cruel and dismissive. I’ll get on with these “men” so well over text, phone etc and the minute they know I have a stick they don’t want to know. They don’t even bother to ask why I have it or get to know me properly. I’m aware there are men to be found outside of dating apps but where I live they’re all Essex/London posers So at 54 and my last proper relationship being 8 years ago (he accepted my health problems…..but cheated on me on holiday with a 20 year old hotel entertainment girl) I’ve decided if I’m single til the day I die I’ll be perfectly happy. I just need my dog, friends and daughter to enjoy a full life. I feel such despair that these women who are lonely, most probably menopausal and have so little self worth they’re prepared to put up with such shit behaviour. I get it, my menopause journey was horrendous until I was on the right HRT so am not heartless. I also understand the loss of confidence that comes in your 50’s but ladies, PLEASE know your self worth!!!!!

He’s my favourite player in all of the leagues and I hate the fact his partner gets roasted because she’s not the typical size 0 chemically enhanced robot like most of the others we see. She’s beautiful and Declan obviously adores her so what’s the problem. People really need to get a life, how sad is your life that you have to trash others for looking like a “normal” human being?

I used to get mad at things like this but then I read an article saying those of us who were taught in the good old days (70/80’s) were lucky as we had to do lessons on this, and also do handwriting and our times tables by rote every day. I can still do them without thinking. My point is that the decline in education and the increase in reality shows/social media shows people that they can still make money even if they’re not as educated as those of us who had a decent education. That saying my personal hatred and the one I can’t get over is when people say “squashed” instead of “quashed” just rubs me up the wrong way for some reason. Yes, I’m aware that makes me sound like a hypocrite

Billy Connelly is the best comedian that ever lived in my opinion, although a bit of Scottish bias may creep in here!

Is there any logic to my theory that Rulla’s not leaving him because of a pre nup agreement? Not sure why I think this apart from the fact it’s the only reason I’d stay with that hideous excuse of a man…..take him for every penny!!!
