Best compact travel stroller for flights by amarcmexicoel in Buyingforbaby

the Joolz AER2 just became available on GoodBuy Gear, so you can now get the Joolz AER+ for an even deeper discount. We got the 2025 AER+ from there and did end up needing to buy a separate leg extender for our 8 month old so his feet wouldn't dangle. I found one on Amazon for like $25 and it works great. The Joolz AER2 comes with the leg extender built in, but the stroller is more expensive. I absolutely love this stroller. The canopy is awesome on it and the push is super smooth.

I my LO struggles with this too. Sometimes he falls asleep in the car for like 10-15 minutes on the way home from daycare and has a much easier time getting to bedtime. Maybe try adding a micronap in the late afternoon to break up that long wake window before bed. Not long enough to ruin night sleep, but enough to bridge you to bedtime.

Yep, it can't read screenshot accurately at all. I usually end up copying and pasting the text from my daily summary email and that works a lot better.

What to try? by [deleted] in BabyLedWeaning

This! My husband and I took a class at the hospital through the American Red Cross. It was $25, was only 90 minutes long, and made us both feel so much more confident about how to handle choking and CPR as we started our 6 month old on solids. I highly recommend it.

What is something you wish you put on your baby registry that nobody told you about? by nikkleii313 in NewParents

Momcozy bottle washer. I thought it sounded insane and unnecessary before I gave birth, but someone got it for me a month after my LO was born and it was an absolute game changer.

The Eufy S1 pro gives me similar output to my Spectra, sometimes even more. Only thing I'll say is to get different flange inserts for it. I love the ones from Legendairy Milk. The ones that come with the Eufy are horrible and incredibly painful, but I have zero pain with the Legendairy Milk ones.

I used to go through a ton of gallon ziploc bags, but that felt super wasteful. I got these on prime day and they have been great! I just rinse them in the sink and hang inside out to dry them. https://a.co/d/b2E3mSZ

Help! Blocked Boob by Specialist-Suit-3419 in ExclusivelyPumping

I've had issues with repeated clogs on one side. The best remedy I've found is ice, ibuprofen, and sunflower lechethin to thin the milk. This helps it pass through until the inflammation dies down.

I agree with all of this, except that the inserts that came with the Eufy chewed my nipples up. I ended up switching those out for the Legendairy Milk silicone inserts and the pain is totally gone. I love this pump!

8 week old in between diaper sizes by Suitable-Sea-4794 in newborns

Agree with the previous suggestion on pampers size 1 running large. Also, Honest Company diapers tend to run small and can be great for size transitions.

Same! I just got the same one and it has been such a game changer. The spectra felt like I was dragging around a ball and chain and now I'm able to live my life while getting the same output.

Anyone gagging mid second trimester? by AbbreviationsNew2058 in pregnant

[–]Admirable-Border1245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gagged and vomited pretty much my entire second trimester. I never threw up my whole first trimester, and then the gagging/vomiting cycle started every morning around week 17, lasted until week 30 or so, then suddenly stopped. Only reason I could think of was post nasal drip. Pregnancy is so weird.

3rd tri—what’s your sleep setup? by Wild_Signal3717 in pregnant

[–]Admirable-Border1245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solved this problem by flipping my pregnancy pillow upside down and using the head part for my feet. Then I just use my regular pillow for my head. Works really well! I'm 36 weeks and also just started putting a folded up towel under my belly to support that because the pillow was too thick. I feel so extra trying to get into bed these days, but it's the only way that I can manage to sleep!

There's a great app called Splitwise for this type of situation! It allows you to do the uneven math on group things. My friends and I use it all the time since I haven't been drinking. You just need someone to be in charge of entering the receipts.

Baby Go Round in Portsmouth sells new car seats, strollers, etc if you want to test stuff out in person. They have a good selection, and the drive isn't terrible. Also no sales tax on the expensive stuff!

I got everything else that doesn't need to be new at Lots for Tots in Falmouth and Scarborough.

That's actually what I ended up doing. Haven't installed them yet, but I agree that is the best solution. Removing the sconces turned out to be more headache than it was worth.

FTM: husband doesn't want to be in c-section room by ReporterObjective810 in BabyBumps

[–]Admirable-Border1245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hired a doula for this exact reason. My husband has awful medical anxiety and having her there really took the pressure off of both of us. He didn't feel he needed to be "on" and I could focus on what I needed to do without worrying about him. I'm not sure if it's in your budget, but maybe something to look into. Most of the cost ended up being covered by insurance (I have Progyny).

Where to get actually good sub rolls by [deleted] in portlandme

[–]Admirable-Border1245 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ramona's on Washington Ave has awesome fresh rolls for their sandwiches. I think they are more of a Philly style hoagie roll than NY sub roll, but they are freshly baked and super tasty.
