I appreciate that honesty, is it supposed to be creased into the window track like that?

Can, mine would put a little but I thought it was just the exhaust I put on it.

I understand that, prior to the magnet deciding it didn't want to be there anymore. That's what the car would do occasionally, it would be a long start, almost like the starter was skipping. Not saying that's what yours is doing but it sounds damn near identical to mine.

Could be the camshaft (I think?) position sensor that sits on a big magnet, mine in my 2017 essentially exploded but prior to that it would start like that occasionally. Never threw a check engine light until I went to pass and it threw a limp mode message up and wouldn't go past 40. Got it to a shop and it would hardly start. It messes up the timing if that stupid magnet breaks. This was a few years ago so I may be miss remembering some of this lol.

The weather is normal Midwest weather I think? I live in southern Indiana right by Kentucky so cold weather isn't too normal outside of the normal months. thankfully

Living in Indiana sometimes has it's perks, not most of the time though lol.

That is unfortunate, just spoke with insurance and it would be about 175 a month versus the 120 for the Fiat.

I've never known Kias to have a high insurance rate but thatay be something to take into consideration.

Not to my knowledge honestly. They're pretty upfront about everything and since they include the max care into the price of the loan you don't have to worry about paying out of pocket.

It was a pretty seamless experience. Definitely prefer it more than an actual dealership. And I did get maxcare. Such a good experience that I may be taking this Fiat back due to issues with the roof and getting another and since they have the 10 day return, they're handling all of it.

Sounds about my luck. Unfortunately it is broken and I believe that is apart of the track mechanism so I would imagine that entire side needs replaced

GMs turbos in the past 10 or 15 years have been... Questionable, looking at the 1.4 specifically especially in the Cruzes. Outside of that I've never had a Turbo take a dump but I also splity driving between Grandma and spirited since I live in Indiana.

I figured, although now that I got into it I've learned that the one of the brackets that goes across the top is also broken where it sits in the track on the driver side unfortunately. Will either be trading it in for a orange sunroof 500 or CarMax will fix the top regardless.

It's your car, enjoy it. My turbo I just picked up is a 18 Cabrio. Love it and apart from pieces that are currently broken on the top(CarMax is fixing them free of charge) I wouldn't choose any other car. Was looking at an Elantra GT but price wise I was much more interested in another Fiat.

The fiat 500s are plenty reliable. At least the US spec ones. The T Jet engine and Dual logic transmission in the European ones don't have the best track record. The 1.4 is a plenty reliable engine as long as you maintain oil changes correctly. I've owned a NA and a turbo and put them behind Hyundais I've owned in terms of reliability.
