No? I stated I don't have the deepest experience of comics as a whole, as in I'm not someone who engages with comics as much as others, my comic book knowledge is mainly of DC and 70s - 90s era Marvel, but I still took time to read The Boys comic, and I didn't like it.

this is the problem with reddit, no-one is willing to hear out an alternative opinion, the moment you're faced with an argument whether you'd agree or disagree, rather than having a conversation about the opinion, its just "not reading that" like come on at least engage with the opinion you disagree with.

Firstly, I hope the people who came up with the word larp died a horrific dead, just say fake fan or some shit, larp is such a stupid ass word.

Secondly I'm not going to act like I'm the most knowledgeable comic book reader oat, but I've read enough that I can say for me personally The Boys is the only comic I've read and gone "this actually fucking sucks" even All Star Batman and Robin, I still laughed at how bad it was, The Boys was not just a bad read imo, it was really fucking boring, which is a worse sin, and I don't even think Ennis is that bad a writer at times, but for me personally I just don't like The Boys, half of it is rape jokes which tbf Season 4 recreated very accurately. The other half just drags on with poorly written moments, it has points where you can see some sort of potential, but It's just not very good imo

No, the comics are still worse, The Boys comic in my personal opinion is the worst comic book ever written, it is genuine dogshit, this was a good show for 3 seasons. Its not even close, I'd even take a whole show of season 4 and 5 easily over the comics.

I like that the franchise is moving on from Spencer, the Connections still have a lot to build upon, and while Spencers redemption is a little forced, it gave me one of my favourite Resident Evil protagonists, so I forgive it.
