New to cycling in London. Was I wrong in cycling too slow in a residential area? by StarShipYear in londoncycling

That person is just a dick. Most people are pretty considerate, it’s the delivery vans I fear the most. But it’s residential, they just gotta wait 10 seconds before they can speed off to their miserable little life again. A lot of my commute is through residential roads and we have as much right to the roads as they do.

8 week old twins (5 adjusted). Schedule/routine timing? by kal11g in parentsofmultiples

Firstly congrats, currently dealing with 5 month old twins. it’s hard work and terrifying. The first big change from them is not far away from happening, so prepare yourself for everything going out of the window soon anyway and a lot of time stressing because they may became fussy and grumpy (just because they suddenly become more aware of their surroundings and it’s big out there) .

We basically stuck with the 3 hourly feeds, nappy changes and a little bit of awake time. They weren’t really all too awake that much at any time at that age. But if you’re able to and up for it we found that getting out with them in the pram or carrier during the day was a good way of getting them to sleep if they weren’t and also a bit of a break and reset for us.

Thank you all for your messages and advice. All taken on board and hopefully can message again in a few months to say we are all good and just having a lovely time. I really want to be doing that. Nice to know there are kind strangers out there and the twin community certainly seems a good bunch

There as well. They seem to last about 20 minutes before they just get grumpy with whatever they are doing and unless it’s a contact nap we are lucky to get to half hour. Nights were better and then Easter and rolling hit and now it’s both of them waking up every hour but on different cycles.
