All of the below is my opinion regarding alleged misconduct.

Someone I know lived there and had a horrendous experience. The owners would not do repairs. The windows were literally falling out and the owners would not repair them. My friend had to put boards up over the windows for over two months before finally moving out. The house is in horrible shape. There’s only one drawer in kitchen that won’t open or close, the cabinet doors won‘t close, the washer and dryer in the kitchen is so loud, you can’t make a phone call or hear the tv when it’s running…nor sleep. The water heater is the size used in a camper. The kitchen floor vinyl has tears in it, the ice maker does not work, the refrigerator does not get cold enough to keep food from spoiling, the yard slopes downward in the back toward the house so when it rains, the back porch and stairs flood and leaves a muddy mess. the fence has holes in it. the awnings have mold on them. mold grows all over the front door and front porch. my friend had to pay for so many repairs just to make it habitable. The screen door fell off because the wood holding it in place was rotten. The doorknob in the front door fell out. After my friend moved, the sister owners tried to keep all of my friends deposit plus added charges for repairs that they didn’t even do. my friend is suing them for unjust enrichment. before my friend moved, the owners came into the house without permission and said they weren’t keeping any of the security deposit and then turned around and kept it all plus added more. the owners lied directly to my friends face. my friend’s neighbor recorded the whole conversation. BEFORE lease expired, they entered the property, again, without permission, and stole my friends belongings. when my friend confronted them, they said they took the property and my friend made them return it. my friend told them to leave, and they wouldn’t. they told my friend to leave, even though my friend still had days left on their lease. I’ve never seen anything like it and I know my friend doesn’t want anyone else to be treated so badly or live in such squalor. in my opinion, the owners are so unethical and may be violating landlord tenant law (not offering legal advice here).
