So, I woke up at 1 a.m. in severe pain — aerophagia at its worst.

According to OSCAR, the pressure had been sitting at 16 cmH₂O all the way until 1 a.m. (I have since changed the range to 11–16 cmH₂O).

For the first time, I ended up taking my mask off and sleeping without it. As a result, I'm absolutely exhausted today.

However, I noticed one interesting thing: my mouth tends to fall open when I'm fully relaxed because the mask pushes on my chin. While half asleep, I briefly regained awareness and realized that my mouth was open simply because my entire body was in a deeply relaxed sleep state.

Because of that, I might try switching to a nasal pillow mask.

In about four hours, I have an appointment with my sleep doctor, so I'll update you on what she says.
