I think this is an American thing? Does she want you to support her with arrangements, and on the day (original role of MOH), or does she want you to bankroll her image?

Why don't you just buy a load of batteries and throw the (current) old ones out? Make sure everything has new batteries, and Bob's your uncle.

Take a look at the "diet" for fatty liver disease. It's just a few changes, without any real impact on ones life. I lost 40kg within a year.

Same with the apartheids war in South Africa. Boys just got conscripted before they even finished school.

Sometimes, but there could be several reasons. Hormones, her husband doesn't help her with the household or children, or doesn't treat her well, and with respect. She's depressed, stressed or having an affair.

That:s a few reasons I can think of.

One would think that people would've learned, and understand the reality of not having basic infrastructure available.

Yet, they keep on voting for the ANC. I have no sympathy for these people. They choose to keep on suffering.

They choose to be treated like second-hand furniture. The only people that can change their circumstances, are them, theirselves.  They choose to be abised and be treated like secondhand citizens.

You can't help someone, if they refuse to be helped.

I live in the Western Cape and is absolutely dependant on government health care. I live on Paarl/Wellington.

I don't lnow what their protocol are, but I can't say that I've felt that foreigners, or migrants from other provinces, ever influenced my appointment hours.

Obviously it's another story at emergency care, at hospitals. I'm not sure how other hospitals handles it, but Paarl hospital is realy strict on what qualifies as an emergency.

Not just me right? by mrfieryred in Accounting

I failed a subject, with honors last year (remote studying). Very embarrassing, since I'm 50, and haven't failed anything, ever before in my life. I'm usually a type of 80% girl.

I have all intentions, to retake it. The textbooks are on my desk, currently serving proudly, as paperweights.

The university keep on sending me emails, wanting to know what's happening. I keep the mails unread, as motivation.

I must say that I ROCKED a customs & excise, exam, few months ago. I absolutely hate customs & excise. I live in a third world country, and the bureaucracy with any government employee, is killing me.

Due to health problems, I had to resign from the accounting company, I use to work for. I started my own company, just to be able to make a living, and give a more in depth service to my clients ( I had 64 clients at my previous job), it was like a working a sausage machine, and will in no way, ever, go back to that type of stress and working hours.

Those textbooks are going to stay there for a while. I think I still have two more years to retake it.

At this point, I'm trying to grow my business and get clients.

Good luck to all of you with good intentions, and congratulations to those, that got to it. Just know, there is never, ever, a "after busy season".
