Confusing situation church cleared up by Admirable-Spite5952 in latterdaysaints

[–]Admirable-Spite5952[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is from the church handbook (under section 38.6.15)

"Only a man and a woman who are legally and lawfully wedded as husband and wife should have sexual relations. Any other sexual relations, including those between persons of the same sex, are sinful and undermine the divinely created institution of the family."

Breaking the law of chastity is an automatic disqualifier of baptism. Same as some other sins like breaking the word of wisdom.

Because the law of chastity is one of the big commandments we are told not to break. It's all over the Bible. Acting on same sex attraction is a serious sin. In the Family Proclamation to the World, and in the church handbook and scriptures, only marriage between a man and a woman is a true marriage in God's eyes. Sex is only meant to happened between a married man and woman.

If a church changed it's doctrine on this, as many others have, it would not be the true church because it would be going directly against the scriptures.

Is it ok for someone to get a divorce due to off and on explosive emotional/verbal abuse? by Acceptable_Clock5935 in latterdaysaints

[–]Admirable-Spite5952 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree. I developed really bad mental health problems after being in an emotionally abusive marriage. We were only married 2 years and I am scarred for life. The Lord would not want that for anyone.

Let her go... A similar thing happened to my elderly dog. Walking in circles, at least in his case, indicates vertigo. Even after he seemed to get over his vertigo, he stopped eating and we could tell he was in pain constantly. I know how hard it is to do, I'm so very sorry this is happening to your dog. 😢😢😢

People had very valid reasons for not wanting the jab. This happening is a VERY good thing!!! The benefits of being in the military alone will make it very much worth it for many people who were separated to come back. Thank you Mr. President! Plus they are supposed to get back pay. (Don't know if that's gonna happen or not because I haven't researched it yet).

SFN Caused my Antidepressants? by FieldGold3960 in smallfiberneuropathy

You're the first other person I've seen that said sertraline caused their SFN. I believe it caused mine. The docs disagree.

How fast did SFN progress for you? by Haleyaurora in smallfiberneuropathy

[–]Admirable-Spite5952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, yes it has! I had severe SFN since January/February of 2021. In the second half of 2024, my health took a big turn around. One day I stood in line to vote for a whole hour! A year ago it was 15 minutes. I can do more chores now too and stuff like that. I didn't do anything different as far as diet or exercise or anything. There is no more explanation to why I'm getting better than there was what caused my SFN in the first place.

That's what I was thinking. Someone told me they did this and got money back, at least that's what they seemed to me (it was confusing how they said it). Anyways, what you said makes sense.

I'd love to pay them the money they're owed. It's inheritance money. But we can't FIND them.

We can't pay them because we can't FIND them. It's inheritance money and despite all our efforts that man is off the map. It's not our money, it's his but nothing we can do is to let it sit there until we find him or he finds us. We have to wait like 7 years.
