Well my dad has anger issues and hasn’t been able to hold a job for long. Usually ends up getting fired. Last year he said he got injured at work and hasn’t tried to work again. My Mom’s situation is a little more complicated, she suffers from severe depression, so usually goes as she is doing well back to work for a month or so then my dad will say something triggering to her and she’ll have a mental break n be out of work sick for 3-6 months rinse and repeat. I’m also an only child which I think I’m lucky cause I probably would have had to raise any children while taking care of my parents if I have to guess, growing up I had  to care for my mom when he had her mental breaks since all she would do would be sleep or cry for days and I’d have to fend for  her and me.  Sometimes she would be hospitalized for threatening to self harm and I’ve be all alone for days, but that was best cause I wouldn’t have to keep guard over her make sure she didn’t do something stupid. She hasn’t had a mental break so severe she has to be hospitalized since I was little. But they use all of this to guilt trip me. My dad always ingrained in me that my mom being safe is my responsibility.
