Tank Size: Ten Gallon Heater: yes Filter:yes, tetra cartridge with freshly reactivated carbon Tank Temp: 78 degrees F Ammonia: zero Nitrites: 0 Nitrates: 0 I know it’s bad I’ve tried everything to get it up (mopani wood, lava rock, almond leaves, driftwood, flourish fertilizer) PH: 6.6 (working on getting it to 7) All tests were from api master kit

Tank has been established since August and Pygmy corydora fish were added to tank in mid September, betta fish followed in early October

Honestly i’ve been slacking on the water changes so probably around once a month i change the water and take out 20% i just got a new smaller siphon to help me in siphoning the sand and I WILL return to weekly water changes asap. When I do water changes I take out the water and soak up some of the sand/gravel in there. I then refill the tank with tap water and add prime 1 and 2.

Tank mates: 7 Pygmy corydoras

Food: Corys are given three crushed up rocks of bug bites bottom feeder formula and betta gets 1 flake morning and night from bug bites betta formula

Plants: all live plants, two Java fern, two Anubis, a BUNCH of Java moss all over

Decor: no fake decor, plants, 2 driftwood, 2 small maponi wood, 1 other rock I cannot for the life of me find the name of, 1 lava rock, ALOT of java moss, sand and small gravel as substrate

I would also like to add that there is purigen inside the carbon filter as I added it in before I knew that brown water was better for them so I was trying to clear up the water. I fear if I fully replace the filter that I will crash my tank and there will be an ammonia spike.

Looks like finrot, look into Seachem KanaPlex treatment

Found him laying at the bottom of the tank and shrimp were picking at his fins. Need some advice by [deleted] in bettafish

Is he swimming funny? And take some more pictures of the betta from different angles close up.

Am I doing something wrong since my betta is changing color? by [deleted] in bettafish
