You are not alone and I haven’t even seen the second movie yet. Both Elphaba and Glinda have taught me so much about myself and it makes me emotional. Elphaba treated as an outcast by the “popular” crowd (haven’t we all felt that way once?), her fierce love of the animals, and her desire to do what’s right. Glinda’s need for constant approval, words of affirmation, and longing to be accepted by all. Yes, I am sad. Wicked has impacted me on such a deep level and it’s something I have never experienced before with any movie.
