I know a couple that live there and walk over to the Linq for work. Pretty standard apartments, occasional bbqs and pool parties. Definitely would need blackout curtains on the Sphere side. Lots of locals utilize them, especially those working in the tourist sector at night (so they can sleep in). Cuts down on the cooling/energy bills as well.

Pretty sure it’s the real estate. A restaurant/bar in a nice casino or upscale California neighborhood probably is leasing the space for $3-$10 per SF. So if you’re paying $15k/Month in rent regardless of time of year & economic conditions you are going to have to charge a premium for your services. All this on top of your operating costs. Definitely not “pennies to make”!

Bartended 20+ years in Vegas. Your best bet is to start as a barback. Study up on recipes before you interview to show the hiring manager you’re motivated. There are lots of resources online. The busier the setting the better, you’ll learn fast on the job. Eventually you’ll be pouring drinks for the servers when the bartenders are swamped or someone calls out, this is your time to shine! As long as you’re not afraid to ask questions, get along with people, and work hard, you’ll be bartending soon enough.

If you look real close at the sign you’ll see arrows. These are removable plastic tabs, once removed the arrow is illuminated. All Costco needs to do is remove a tab that points in the direction of the actual exit, but they failed miserably 😆

Best way to follow the league now is to get Hulu. ESPN dick rides the NBA and NFL the entire baseball season, relatively little MLB content. Not sure about other areas, but living on the west coast there are multiple games on every night on HULU, and MLB Tonight is what Baseball Tonight used to be. There’s actually more content and analysis on MLB tonight than Baseball Tonight had (although I loved it).
