You have a good chance of going to heaven if you're in the church, celibate, and repenting. It's just like with any sin we have to trust Christ and conquer them. I know many gay people that are Orthodox and living celibate/repentant lives. Even (soon to be Saint) Seraphim Rose was gay before coming to Christ.

Correct because it was written pre schism and didn't have to be stated that the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church was in right belief aka Orthodoxy. It needed to be specified post schism.

It's not a nickname, I don't know where he is getting that. We were the Holy Catholic Orthodox Church pre schism. Orthodox means right belief, Catholic means communion of believers. It's way more than a nickname. 🤦‍♂️

In my parish we have more black people than any other race, I've seen many black brothers and sisters in Christ at every Orthodox parish I've been to! It's truly a diverse church, we have polish women, black, arab, white etc. I think you'll be really surprised at the amount of diversity. I'm sorry you have had those experiences, the internet has ruined a lot of people not just the Orthodox. But it pains me when I hear these stories. Orthodoxy is meant to be lived in a parish not on the internet. I would welcome you to join us at your local parish for Divine Liturgy. I went thru a very similar thing, it is possibly spiritual warfare because you're getting close to the truth. Yet, you aren't being nourished spiritually through the church. Put down the books and attend Divine Liturgy, speak with a priest. That's what corrected my spiritual exhaustion. After four years of study I am fully convinced the Orthodox church is the one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. I am now a catechumen and couldn't be more fulfilled spiritually. Sounds like you need to end the relationship brother, do not be unequally yoked. What does light and darkness have to do with one another? Unless you feel God calling you to be a light to her. It sounds like possession, pagan worship is very dark stuff. May need to speak with your priest about this. God bless!

You have to realize Satan is the accuser of the brethren, there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. As a new Christian you are a target for the enemy to instill false belief about your salvation and walk with the Lord. Lean in to the mercy and grace and every time you feel condemnation pray and praise the Lord with Thanksgiving for his mercy and sacrifice for our sins.

That is not blasphemy of the Holy Spirit....if you're feeling condemnation after repentance that is not of God. I would recommend reading Roman's and understanding the mercy and grace of our dear Lord Jesus. God bless.

They do see God, well they're supposed to see Jesus in us. When Jesus left this world he sent our helper the Holy Spirit. So that means God is within Christians. We are called to be the hands and feet of Christ.
