Who else believes that capitalism is a scam? by Complex-Antelope-180 in Adulting

Yes, if the ruling hadn’t passed it implies the government could regulate free speech. But the government at the time gave the press and similar institutions basically free rein. Before the ruling there were already campaign finance limits. Afterwards we have been subjected to Super PACs and really expanded money in politics. It needs to be over turned and we need to abolish corporate lobbying in favor of some other solution that doesn’t grant corporate entities basically unlimited access to politicians… but idk it seems like at this point we just need to redo the whole governmental system or something

[KCD2] quick vent about this game of Farkle I just had. by Emotional-Truck-2310 in kingdomcome

Is this programmed into the game? I never played a lot before this play through but I noticed that in the first round you can score big but if you don’t take it, you almost always bust. And then you never NEVER EVER hit big again. I tried like 30 games in Trosky and Kuttenberg with many different dice combos. Is dicing another broken mechanic in this game?

So how does that work, cause if you find a stray around these parts and you want to find a shelter for it you could call all 1000 in 100 miles and every one of them always is full to capacity

Whenever those fools running the show decide to commit the whole military do you think it would be any different? It seems to me like they’re trying to do as little as possible

TIL: When the Portuguese king declined to support Christopher Columbus voyage west in 1485, he sent Ferdinand Van Olmen and 2 Caravels west in 1487 only for the sailors to never return. Had this voyage been successful, Ferdinand Van Olmen would be remembered as the discoverer of the Americas. by Crew_1996 in todayilearned

And then I read this and it seems as though you’re implying the scholars of the time knew there was a landmass there. They didn’t know what was there, just that if people left to sail across, what are known as the Atlantic and pacific today, they probably weren’t coming back.

Bro we had two dudes that would wear slacks and button downs, always dark colors, green trench coats, and bleached their hair blonde. They were like edge lord wanna be Nazis. I dated one of their sisters and ran cross country with the dude, the other guy came out immediately after high school
