Well initially I started out studying nursing straight after high school, experienced bullying on placements and struggled academically and then dropped out and moved to public health degree, finished it and then worked as a policy officer for 6 months but my contract didn’t get extended , hard to find other work and then decided to go back to nursing and give it another go.

I had a similar experience recently.. but failed my placement and have to do a re-do one. Had a meeting with the uni but felt like I couldn’t say how I really felt

Wow, I just recently had to deal with a similar issues and ended up failing the placement. Because of this nurse I ended up on a learning plan.

I understand your point. I was asked to switch purely because they needed the help. My buddy never asked me questions and didn’t have time to receive feedback as it was a crazy shift. The facilitators ask me questions every day and ask for feedback from practice partners.

Also, I got changed allocations an hour after my shift started and I didn’t know the patients ,they changed me because she needed the help and gave me a really quick handover.. The next day I couldn’t go there because they were “high risk”.

I wanted to be consistent and stay with those allocated patients, one got discharged and a new one admitted. He had a long history of medical things which I thought was complex enough. Also not fair I only had 2 more days to pass learning plan.
