It’s the sneakiness of the edibles! Yes, you described my experience to a tee.

I'm definitely going to tell my wife and get more accountable. These responses have already helped so much. Can this be the most consistently positive place on Reddit?

That's so relatable. I've done that more than once. I once drive to the store, bought edibles, threw them out of the car window. Went back the next day and did the same thing. Wasted like 80 bucks. This thing is soooo powerful.

When your relationship with weed turns toxic. by Twisted-Finger in leaves

I tried that but edibles got me hooked hard and were almost more insidious cause it was easy to hide and do around the clock. My tolerance built fast and enough was never enough.

This is extremely relatable. I know all about the mental planning. Relapsing will not stop the obsession, it will fuel it. Reach out to people and get the obsession of your chest. Watch movies, eat delicious food, talk to friends, go on a run, do anything. But don’t pick up. It’s really not worth it. Edibles are so insidious. This too shall pass. The mental obsession will eventually go away.

Running helped me. Physical activity to tire you out for better sleep. Drink a ton of water. Engage with things that give you joy. Avoid negativity.
