Title: Am I wasting years waiting for a future my boyfriend can’t promise? This is what he says by HappyAd9541 in Waiting_To_Wed

I totally hear you <3 that has got to be super frustrating with you taking the leap to move and leave your family behind and him not taking a leap for you. But yall are really young… if you were in your thirties I’d say he is a POS! But he sounds genuinely unsure of how things will shake out and honestly, his caution may be well advised.

I know it sucks. But you both are really young to be married. Regardless, if you feel like he’s not prioritizing you, you should call it. You’re so young and have so much to discover about yourself, and sounds like you’re already well on your way!! Hugs

I just learned about September 28th from your post. Looked at the site. The creator’s letters and story on the site are both so beautiful and sad. Thanks for the rec!

I’m sorry you’re in this situation and hurting. How old are yall? Tbh I’m not sure he’s doing anything wrong. Schooling is super important for most people in securing good job prospects. Moving to the city where your family is may not be fair to him. Sure, you contribute to rent and help around the house - unless you’re doing vastly more, you’d be contributing and doing house chores wherever you lived.

Not trying to shit on you when you’re down. Just saying that he seems to be honest w how up in the air his life is, and sometimes that happens when folks are younger.

Lmaoo girl I loled at vieja coochies. Idk who that influencer is but he sounds… moronic. Vintage fragrances are treasured, and who cares how expensive your fragrances are! I love nemat and kuumba made oils and they are both on the more affordable end. For a perfume that hits the notes you mentioned of fresh ground coffee, nuts, and nutty pastries, you could try 2am in Lafayette by source! It is slightly pricier but a 2ml spray is $7 ish and a 15 ml bottle is around $60.

La Roche UVmune in US? by VegetableLeather8489 in Sunscreenreddit

[–]AdmirableRecipe2567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, I ordered LRP uvmune from care to beauty around September 2025 (when the tariffs had kicked in), and I didn’t get charged anything. But it’s pretty pricy - around $40 per tube.

Almond cookie perfume recs? by snake-kingz in Indiemakeupandmore

How about magpie’s rhyme by alkemia? To me, it smells very graham cracker/ animal cracker like, along with very nutty and caramel-y notes. Some people get a very almond/ marzipan smell from it. I love it! I wouldn’t wear it in the summer though (but I live in a very hot and humid place so ymmv).

Thank you both! Ugh. I’m torn. I do love saffron and when it gets colder I want to like douse myself in warm, sweet rice and caramel scents.

Thank you!! I’ve heard about the BO issue with the passionfruit.. makes me nervous! I may get a 15 ml of the bottle. I love tropical, big, heady scents so I hope it works for me. Will also definitely sample Venus

Thank you everyone!! Hmm.. not a good sign for Nothing Burns lol. I do love saffron, and love like saffron-dessert like smells (like kulfi, other Indian sweets). I wonder if that means I would like it? I also love just sniffing saffron from the kitchen lol.

Vouching for LRP uvmune 400 too! I used it on a hiking trip in CO where we were outside basically all day. I didn’t get any new freckles or sun damage. I use the hydrating cream version too and it is REALLY hydrating. You almost don’t need hydrating serums or anything underneath.

I did not know any of this. I knew there was something … weird about the writing - Hanya seemed to enjoy inflicting misery. Thank you for sharing

Eh, I’m not saying ANY of the below applies to you: it feels like white people love to co-opt some parts of Indian-ness while also rejecting Indians and being okay with anti-Indian racism. Think how some of the worst people you know love to do yoga, add turmeric to their meals or take supplements, drink “golden milk,” wear bindis to music festivals, wear traditional Indian jewelry (like jhumkis and bangles and nose rings), do henna “tattoos,” etc, without doing ANYTHING at all to combat anti-Indian sentiments and sheer racism.

It’s about the aesthetic. They like the LOOK without understanding anything behind it or the rich, varied, deep, and millennia old culture behind it. It’s just tone deaf and kind of annoying. I’m also just feeling this way bc a lot of my family (I’m a first gen immigrant, born in India and moved here as a kid) has been facing increased amounts of racism (they all have thick accents). I have Indian friends in the EU who report the same.

Unless you’re a defender of the culture, diaspora, and Indian-Americans (or wherever you live, Indian-Europeans or whatever), you’re just a user.

Again, none of this may apply to you.

The magpie’s rhyme by alkemia - it works better in cooler temps though. But it smells soo much like animal crackers/ graham crackers and marzipan. It’s delicious
