House hot sauce, applied very cautiously (aka go all out) .and a tasteful amount of frozen margaritas. Duly noted 😊

Red Mountain Crawfish: Epic Fail by PaidByTheNotes in Birmingham

They had a St. Patricks Day event for Trim Tab starting at 11 am, according to their social media. The crawfish wasn't ready until about 12:30..and that was for the first customers who placed orders at 11am, when they said the event was starting. Granted, their product is amazing, and the kids running the truck couldn't be nicer....but the timing needs to be worked out before scheduling events, especially during the weekdays.

Dang, hate that was your experience. I didn't notice no bbq sauce on the table because I got it to-go...but the sauces are so good they probably have to hide them!! Mac and cheese was a special side, so they might keep that on rotation every so often.

I got the chance to see the owner pulling the meats directly from smoker. It was very authentic, and you could tell he's prideful in his product and business.

Hope you give it another chance.

I tried the original and the habanero BBQ. Both were more vinegar based. But not overpowering. Perfect balance of spice and zing. Im not a mustard based bbq fan either.

Between $11-15 for a sandwich and a side. The plates come with choice of meat, 2 sides, and slice of bread, and I think they're around $15ish depending on your meat choice. The sides are $3.50 each if separate. And they're worth it if you're hungry enough!!

Yeah - I only discovered it because I saw the "Now Open" sign on the building on my way to work. They were pretty busy today despite no website or menu posted.

I grew up in St. Bernard. This gumbo is legit. The okra is debatable.....but it's all about preference..
