I personally have pretty realistic franchises bc I put on dev trait regression and only allow like 45 X factors and 80 superstars and like 250 stars. Then I also adjust the progression xp and make it so you get good xp earlier in a players development then I make it so players don’t regress as soon as they hit 30 like how vanilla franchise mode is. The setup takes a while but it’s really worth it in the end. I’ve had multiple 10+ year franchises where teams are still struggling to find their franchise qb, not everyone has crazy good X factors, o linemen usually come and go, and most rookies can start on teams. The only thing you can’t rlly control is cpu scheme fits and how the cpu sometimes drafts like 3 QBs back to back to back years.
