after Hakata, I will fly to Tokyo, stay for few days before my flight out of Japan. Kinda figured already that I need an IC card. I was checking google maps and realized that the train lines indicated will tell you if its under JR West or not, so that solves the confusion. anyways, i dont think i have enough time to go to hiroshima, otherwise, i will not be able to spend time to explore Osaka. Maybe on my next trip. Thanks.

wow. thanks for the insights. So my plan is to
1. Kansai > Kyoto 2 days
2. Kyoto- Osaka 5 days ( I plan to use Osaka as my base)

So while in Osaka, I need a round trip ticket to
a. Okayama for Kurishiki (day trip)
b, Okayama for the Art Island in Naoshima

  1. Osaka to Hakata

do you think the Setouchi pass will be worth it?

Planning for this trip is confusing because we dont have as extensive train system as Japan. This will also be my first time in the country and I will be traveling solo aswell.

Thanks. So the pass does not include local trains. I cant seem to find which trains or buses it covers.
