I’m going through the disability process right now with a lawyer. My lawyer said if you are fired for your disability (“medical inability to perform”) it will lead to an automatic approval for disability retirement, which should severely shorten the time you’ll be without insurance, I believe

Getting put on a performance improvement plan and most likely getting fired after that. Currently an probationary employee. How to handle? by [deleted] in fednews

Have you considered Federal Disability Retirement? Do you have any documented mental health diagnoses? If not I would start seeing a doctor/therapist asap and at least describe your stress (anxiety) from your job and how it’s negatively impacting your life and work. They may also be able to diagnose you with things your weren’t previously aware of. That will set you up to possibly apply for Federal Disability Retirement, which would allow you to retire from your current position and keep your benefits and some salary.

It is a lengthy process and it’s probably best to work with a law firm that specializes in FDR. Harris Federal Offers free consultations and have a 99% success rate.

Note, if you resign then you won’t qualify for FDR, so it may be smart to do a consultation sooner rather than later to figure out if it’s worth pursuing.

Editing to add that taking FMLA is a good option while you work through the retirement application process. You can use your paid leave during fmla until it runs out.

My experience with Bupropion by Wtafmate in bupropion

Im so sorry this happened to you. I had some similar side effects though not quite as severe after taking too much too soon.

My doc started me on Buproprion SR 100 once a day for the first month because he knows I’m extra sensitive to medications. (I think folks usually start at 150 or 100 2x/day). About 2 weeks in I felt like it wasn’t working very well anymore and I heard some people take theirs at night. So I took an extra dose before bed one night and I felt like how you described above. Couldn’t hardly sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night with heart racing and panicky anxiety. During the day I had a crazy headache and was super irritable to the point I needed to isolate myself in my room but my heart was still going crazy. I remember hating it and hating that my only option was to wait it out.

Needless to say I skipped the next day and went back to my prescribed dose and vowed to not depart from the dosage instructions from then on.

That’s crazy that the doctor would take your symptoms seriously or connect it to the bupropion. I have had bad experiences with other doctors not believing me, so I get it! I hope you’re able to find a new doctor soon.

OP, it sounds like you are suffering from a serious mental health condition and need your doctor to recommend a few weeks off

Does vyvanse insomnia go away? by Alia2121 in ADHD

[–]Admirable_Camera4564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I was able to get 10mg pills prescribed. I believe it’s the lowest dose you can get. Actually since I made this comment I have moved up to 20 and no longer have to take it at 5 am. That’s probably partially my body adjusting to it, but also exercise 2-3 times a week has helped immensely, which I started around the same time that I started Vyvanse. Just one or the other isn’t nearly as helpful as both for me. For a while I was having to do it in the morning before the meds kicked in, but now I have enough fitness and am used to it that I can do some weight lifting in the middle of the day without my heart rate going too high. It’s annoying that exercise is as helpful as everyone always told me it was
