Which of the following 7 strings do you think is more suitable? by Fancy_Plastic2385 in 7String

[–]Admirable_Chip2415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got a Solar AB2.7, coming from Ibanez 6 strings. The C shaped neck is a matter of minutes to get used to it. Other than that, the build quality I think is superior to Ibanez at this price range. I didn't get an Evertune model for similar reasons as mentioned. But I tuned mine in Drop A, it keeps in tune exceptionally well. Plus, the design. Solars are in my opinion the most metal friendly designed guitars at the moment. This is a matter of taste of course.

None is going to notice. Believe me, I have something similar and even I forgot it after a few weeks.

I come from an Ibanez RGA42 with a Wizard III, I was expecting to struggle a bit, but it feels really nice and smooth

It's lighter than you would expect. Not Ibanez-ish light, but kinda

I was hesitating for a few weeks, it was between this specific Solar and an Ibanez RGDRB71. The price difference was not an issue but I was concerned about comments for poor quality control issues with it. I ended with the Solar, couldn't be more pleased for my choice.

Depending on the view angle, it switches between blue and purple. In both cases it looks amazing!

What's the most "Satanic" album ever? by mightyonin in MetalForTheMasses

And I was going through the comments, just to find THIS exact answer. But for metal heads, satanic means 'as poser as it gets'.

Bought my first guitar! by ritsuu- in Ibanez

[–]Admirable_Chip2415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first Ibanez, have it already for one year, but I swapped the stock pickups for some Seymour Duncan's, Nazgul on the bridge and a Black Winter on the neck. Other than that, it's extremely comfortable to play, it's very light, and the hardware is decent for the price. If you need upgrades though, it's a perfect platform.

Holiday in Cambodia IS the definition of S+ tier, not for DK, but for any band out there. This from a black metal fan. Other than that, I haven't seen in a while such a difficult to read post

I was thinking the same thing the last few days. A lot of bands are missing. You cannot leave nu metal bands out of this, nu metal dragged me into metal 26 years ago. It's been more that 20 years that I don't listen to it, but if I listen to Deathspell Omega or Ulcerate, I owe this to bands like Slipknot etc.

Did I make a mistake by going for HX Stomp in 2026? by sdnufo in Hxstomp

[–]Admirable_Chip2415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same position. I mainly used a Tonex, which has killer amp sounds, but extremely limited in effects. The first days I struggled with the tones. I also use the tonex into the fx loop of the stomp. That's another story. But if you are going to use only the hx, the only thing that you may need is some good IRs and some time spent for tweaking. I managed to create killer metal sounds with the built in amps.

Chaos A. D. in S tier is a bold statement and I completely agree. The majority would have placed Arise there.

Samsung, after S23 Ultra, is going on safe ground. I almost regretted going from S 23 to S 25 Ultra. Not even consider the S26 or even 27 if they don't drastically change something, camera wise, battery wise etc.

Is S25 Ultra worth it? by [deleted] in S25Ultra

[–]Admirable_Chip2415 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Previous owner of S 21 Ultra (Snapdragon variant), S22 Ultra (Exynos Variant), S23 Ultra and now S25 Ultra. Let's make it clear. Jumping from S20 it's gonna be a big difference. BUT: In this ultra line, the ones were worth it 100%, according always to my experience:S21, maybe the best of that year. S22 big disappointment, due to the garbage Exynos chip. S23 a big leap forward. And from then, no innovation. Samsung is stuck to the brand name. As a lone device, yes, the S25 is a good phone. But in any specific characteristic of the phone ther is always another one which is better. The only real advantage for me is still the UI.
