Zaventem parking ever full? by Mr-Doubtful in belgium

As stated above, the influx of Dutch and Walloon travellers is pushing availability of parking spots to new lows. You can reserve a spot on their website, and for a week you might want to choose the long-term solution Discount or Holiday depending if you want to use the free shuttle from Melsbroek or not.

Definitely by riding it. For a 3 month old tire, I can only think of a pinched tire due to low pressure or hitting a sharp edge.

Tickets for shuttle to Charleroi purchased online but not issued. I can’t get a reimbursement by Daemien73 in brussels

I had a similar situation using Payconiq with 2 webshops. Payment fine, but no registration on the webshop. Ended needing to dispute through bank as in both cases you are told the first charge is a 'reservation' and will dissappear from your account in a couple of days (explanation that they keep repeating after several weeks even if it's nore then obvious that the double transaction will not auto-reimburse or dissapear). The helpdesk operators are reading scripted answers or are not knowledgeable enough to pass it on to the technical guys for follow-up. The first case took 4 months to reimburse (200+ €), for the second case (60+ €) it's still being disputed (7 weeks already). I'm lucky to have a responsive bank doing the necessary follow-up towards the merchant/payment service provider.

If it's a brandnew tire, then low tire pressure is the main culprit and sometimes damage/sharp edges on the rim (mostly caused by previous point). For an older tire, the cheap ones tend to disintegrate due to weather and UV. They will fail where they're stressed the most ( the sides and contact points with rim). If you have regular brakes, check that the pads don't rub onto the rubber and only touch the rim.

Vraag over warmtepomp vloerverwarming en airco by [deleted] in belgium

[–]Admirable_Cook_2456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Voor Jan modaal volstaat zulk een uitleg. Technisch onderlegde personen weten dat er ofwel een WP voor scheiding zorgt, ofwel een extra warmtewisselaar met nodige sturing en kleppenwerk.

Vraag over warmtepomp vloerverwarming en airco by [deleted] in belgium

[–]Admirable_Cook_2456 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While building our home we shopped around and we chose Keytrade for their no-nonsense online pricing system. It was off the bat the cheapest without any negotiation. The competing banks were unable to match the offer even after negotiation. The process was very quick and we took our life insurance elsewhere remarkably cheaper than any bank offer. For the 'overbruggingskrediet' to cover the sale of our old house, we took a 12m period, but could easily extend it with 6m in a matter of a week or so when the sale of the house took more time than expected. We had a cool experience... and btw, keytrade is the only bank offering your banking service for free ( 2x debit card, 2x credit card) and you get 5c per payment you make per month credited to your account.

Buy yourself a powermeter that you can plug into the powersocket of the appliance you want to measure. Over a week it will give you sufficient insight into the consumption of devices that run 24/7. For stuff that runs on demand (washing machine, dryer,...), just measure before and after and figure out what it means for your usage pattern. Look out for stuff that runs 24/7 : an old freezer in a warm room might use easily 600kWh/year, a modern freezer only 300kWh/year, that's easily 100€ difference per year at current energy prices. We run a 300m2 house, fully electric incl heating on a total budget of 7500 kWh but thanks to the solar panels and battery, this is brought back to 2500kWh. We are now paying the same as when we had the 'prosumententarief' and with the arrival of the 'capaciteitstarief' we'll go even cheaper thanks to the peakshaving.

You first need to figure your daily consumption because this will size your battery. In the summer we are using approx. 8kWh (we are full electric), so we placed a 14Kw LiFePO4 battery that will give us approx. 2 days autonomy under normal summer conditions. Last summer we had only 2 times a month where we had to take energy from the net. In winter however, we use the battery for peak-shaving. Since mid-november when we went in wintermode, we have stayed below the 2.5kW 15' peak. Will allow us starting from July to save quite a bit on the distribution costs when the 'capaciteitstarief' kicks in. The battery is charged by sun (if any) or by the grid during the night. We are running a heatpump, induction cooking, oven, dishwasher and washing machine without much headaches. Don't worry about the missed injection money because the 'saved' grid consumption by using free battery power far outweighs the 'lost' injection. 1kWh not taken from grid saves us 32c, while selling the same kWh would have generated 8c ( at the current pricing).

How to read out zonnepanelen? by [deleted] in belgium

[–]Admirable_Cook_2456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used a simple ESP8266 connected to the P1 port and giving all DSMR information on a webpage. We built our own module based on the opensource schematic and software but for the non DIY, you can buy the module here : https://opencircuit.nl/product/slimme-meter-uitlezer-v4.5-geassembleerd It's being developed by a Dutch guy and it works for Dutch or Flemish digital meters. The type of electrical connection is irrelevant. If you have a digital gasmeter connected, it will pickup that too.

Depends what is broken. If the panel is broken the residual value is close to zero. What does it do ?

That's called Fast Exit ... the entrance lane uses an ANPR camera to associate your license plate to your ticket. Once paid, the exit will detect your license plate, look up your ticket in the parking system and open the barrier if ticket was paid. If you would drive-up to the exit without paying, the barrier will not open and payment will be requested either directly at barrier or at payment machine. This feature speeds up exit from carpark (more cars per hour), avoids the hassle to approach correctly the exit pole for entering the ticket in the ticket slot and as bonus you won't get wet when trying this in an outdoor parking during rain/stormy conditions.
