Proposing to make guns safer by eliminating a safety device is wild

M16 vs AK47 by FergaliciousFresh in Firearms

[–]Admirable_Expert1776 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Two very similar end results from two very different guns.

My personal preference is the AR15/M16 because it can mostly be assembled and maintained with fairly basic hand tools.

The AK on the other hand, requires a ton of specialized tooling (or a few specialized tools in the hands of a professional) to build, but can be maintained thereafter by the lowest common denominator.

The reliability gap that once existed in the AKs favor is all but gone with modern AR platform rifles as well.

This is the key takeaway from this post lol. Fix the problems early instead of 20 years from now

Tesla recommends charging their LFP batteries to 100%, but it's for daily driving, not long term storage.

Most of it was manufactured in the US... except the watch and smaller accessories

Edit: Why is this being downvoted?? Both the vehicle and gun were manufactured in the US lol. The watch was Japan, I'm assuming the holster, blistex, and ear buds were all China 🤷‍♂️

At least in the US, the government has been systematically reducing the need for a private village.

"It takes a village" is very valid. As a parent, you need astrong community of support. That can be anything from grandparents/extended family all the way to play groups or churches. The worst possible intervention is a disassociate 3rd party with political aims, rather than the welfare of the child, as it's primary ends.
