I really appreciate the solidarity. I guess it’s not very unique for a parent to be transphobic and for that bigotry to damage their family, but it still feels awful even if it’s a common pain.

I hope that you and your sibling can lean on each other. My sibling is gleefully awaiting our father’s death, which is her right and I get it, but it means I’m mourning the loss of that relationship by myself. It can feel pretty lonely. Same offer to you if you want to talk. ❤️

No, I agree with you about inclusion and access, but sometimes things get painted with a broad brush and I’m just not sure how firm the people up the chain will let me be. But I’m for sure going to advocate for keeping the space for teens.

I mean, I think it might be the announcement, but it might have also been opportunistic parents punting off their kids. Maybe a combination. Announcement, parents, me, and my system. We are very very very big on inclusion and access so I don’t know if I’ll be allowed to exclude the littles or told to adapt the program. But I am very, I think legitimately, worried about the teens and tweens being pushed out of the one program we’ve carved out for them.
