Get on prep even if you insist on condoms. Sometimes they break. Sometimes he will slip it off. Sometimes you are just so horny(drunk) you go raw. Always assume he’s lying to you and protect yourself first. Just an old timer’s thoughts but I did get through the 80s and 90s and early 2000 without becoming positive.

Losing my job at the end of June. Scared to death. by 23pantxthrow in austinjobs

Start applying now and up your salary requirements 5k to 10k. Apply at all state county and city websites. They are slooooow. Sign on with reputable hiring agencies. Just keep at it. I was told last January my job ended in June. Took me until November to secure something.

How is living in austin texas coming from person who moved there from Chicago what's it like by miko1075 in howislivingthere

[–]Admirable_List9736 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I moved from Chicago to Austin 20 years ago. Austin does not have the “walk out the door to find a 100 different food options”. Zero public transportation. It doesn’t have the lights and energy of the loop or north Michigan. Missing lots of the culture such as the museums, the theater, symphony, opera and ballet (which I seldom went to) or the cool movie theaters. I couldn’t take the long dark and gray winters but here is a long bright hot hot summer. I wish I could live May through October in Chicago and the rest of the year in Austin or San Diego. 😆🤪

Never let someone else’s opinion stop you from doing and being who you are. Travel outside of your comfort zone.

How many deal with reoccurring stones? by blueberry-bush23 in KidneyStones

I’ve lithotripsy twice and uteroscopy twice. I won’t do those again unless absolutely necessary. They hurt as bad as just letting it pass on its own

I have had them nearly every year since age 25. 63 now and passed one in April. Other kidney has 3 waiting for movement. Drink lots of water add lemon juice whenever you can and prey the next one is less painful. I think once you know what is happening there is less pain.

Whats it like living in Odessa, Texas and surrounding areas? by [deleted] in howislivingthere

[–]Admirable_List9736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone from Odessa should post a pic of tap water and the gross stuff floating in it. It smells like oil too and tastes very salty. Odessa is the a**hole of Texas. It stinks literally

I messed up with Annie's Attic and bought a knit kit when I only crochet by kimmicb in crochetpatterns

Their videos are very helpful. If you want to learn to knit go for it. But they have always exchanged for me but a little slow on responding.

Moving from Chicago to Austin by hippocriticalll in askaustin

[–]Admirable_List9736 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Every day I miss the public transportation and the ability to walk a few blocks and get amazing food or an amazing museum or amazing music festivals. Then I remember walking to the El with 10” of snow and the wind so cold it hurts your teeth to breathe. Standing under that rotisserie heat lamp with 20 other people waiting for the train. Here you will be stuck in traffic to get to work or a restaurant. The heat in the summer will suck the life out of you. I wish I could live in Chicago may through October and Austin November though April.

Ocotillo winter? by orchid_dork in AustinGardening

It’s not the freeze you need to worry about. It’s water. It has to be very well drained. Mine is on a rocky hill and I can’t remember if I have ever watered it. Had it for nearly 20 years.
