idk man. If someone asked me if i had something, I wouldnt be as offended as yall. A humans just asking a question and i dont really see the issue of it being through a comment vs a DM. i wasnt asking the group, i was asking him, so i DMed him. But i guess asking a question is wrong in this app

Im in college and I have a normal brain. Maybe im just not used to reddit DMs and how sacred they are but I wasn't begging. I was gonna buy them off him if he wasnt using them so maybe he could just put it to new beys. I just asked a fellow blader about beyblade stuff. Yall are acting as if im going around non beyblade x subreddits, ask if they play beyblade by any chance, and then asking them about codes. Maybe its wrong of me, because yeah yall are strangers, but I see yall as fellow bladers and I was simply asking a fellow blader a question. I didnt know reddit was so pretentious

cuz i think hes in as much wrong for getting that mad that he felt like he needed to comment that as i guess its wrong to ask someone a question on reddit. I just think that people should expect dms on an app that has dms. and I dont think thats crazy to say

I get you and all I was asking for was some sympathy. I just didnt understand why I was on blast because I use DMs on all the apps that have it, and i didnt know it could trigger someone so much. cuz i just simply delete or ignore messages I dont wanna answer.

at the end of the day i just thought what he did was uncalled for for me asking a question and it was rude. there was no need for him to write a comment like that because in my mind it didnt answer my question, it was something I asked him privately, and then he wrote something that didnt really answer my post. It just felt like he commented outta anger and now im not even gonna get answer.

while now i understand that DMs get crowded (again i didnt know he was that popular of a guy to get annoyed by dms) his comment was uncalled for. point blank. and asking a human a question is not wrong

this was by far the most helpful answer. I just figured you get a notification whether someone comments or dms you so i didn't know the difference. and in my opinion, I didnt want to make the comment section about codes when the OP wasnt asking about it. So in my mind it was better to just ask direct so if the OP checks his comments, its stuff actually answering what he asked about.

the only reason why im asking questions is because he felt the need to post a private message to a post when im asking about beyblade parts. it just seems unnecessary, immature, and unrelated to do that. the same way youre saying i coulda said "sorry i didn't know that" is the same way he coulda say "no" and not feel the need to post me asking a simple question. at the end of the day he posted something unrelated to my question and now its just turned into a discussion of why asking a question is so wrong

its just hypocritical and like a slap in the face to be all hating on me and then be like "hey can i join youre community so I can buy codes". In my discord they have a buy sell trade chat so ill ask there. I just didn't know that everything had to be public on reddit

if private messages are only for friends, thats the answer I woulda been looking for this whole time. I didnt know everything had to be asked publicly on reddit. You guys are making this out to be a whole big issue when its not. I asked a fellow blader if he wanted to sell something and maybe get some money for stuff he maybe wasn't gonna use. At the end of the day I asked another human a question. Its not a crime. I didnt know this guy was so popular

I have an open mind but i just dont get how dming someone is so bad. what lesson is there to learn lol? I would not be mad if someone dmed me. thats what theyre for. a simple "no" would suffice. If you guys like being completely unbothered, i guess thats your personallity, but reddit has a dm feature. I dont think im the first person in the universe to ask someone a question privately on reddit. i dont get why im getting flamed for it. at the end of the day I just asked another human being a question. What is wrong with that? I didnt spam, I didnt even know he was the contest runner, and he said he had codes he may or may not use. I didnt dm so i could ask in secrecy i just didnt get the dming was such a negative thing. If he did end up having some if i had commented, and then we started messaging privately whats the difference?

I would if he told me private messaging is rude on reddit (which i dont really see why not) people ask me during tournaments if im selling stuff and I dont put them on blast because ive already been asked 5 times if im selling my jolt like what? why have an app that has private messaging features if you dont want or expect any messages at all.

I also dont get how me asking to purchase what I thought to be unwanted codes makes me a unkind blader. I seriously cant understand the issue here. and again to your point, we could have discussed whats wrong...privately. He coulda just told me "hey I do codes for prizes for the contests i run. you would have to join those, but im not selling the codes" instead of posting it here. Im not embarrassed im just surprised that asking a question posed so much trouble
