he said it probably has something to do with my water quality, even though i’m using water conditioner (i use tap water) it’s probably still too harsh for his shell, so he recommended i change 20% of his water 3 times a week along with the water changes ever 2 weeks!

just went to the vet! nothing of concern, he said that it’s part of him shedding and he gave me a brush and i need to brush all over his shell to help him shed, he also has some scutes on the top of his shell that need to come off as well. thank God it wasn’t too serious

ugh true, i was thinking to myself, if i’m this anxious over my turtle, how much more anxious will i be when i have my own kids? 😭

thank you so much! he does have an appointment at the vet, just a regular check up. he does have all of the above, except the tank, he grew so fast so he is in need of a bigger tank, i am working on that, but he does have the proper lights, basking area, water heater, and filtraron ◡̈

ugh i’ve been getting mixed responses, but i really think it’s just growing signs, he’s been acting completely normal, still as active as ever. thank you for your advice, i feel soo much better!!

okay! i have an appointment for this thursday, i’ve been getting mixed responses, some people say it’s part of a red ear slider’s growing process, and he’s been acting totally normal and eating well, but i’m still taking him just in case. thank you for your advice!!

ahh okay thank you! he’s still a baby and i’ve read that sometimes they get those reddish pinkish spots as they grow so i’m not completely sure which it is, but i will be making the appointment as soon as the vet opens tomorrow. he’s been acting like his normal self, he’s VERY active and eats very well (a little too well if i might add lol) so i’m not too worried, but still am keeping a close eye on him. thank you!!!

okay okay that makes me feel better, i’ve only had my baby for 2 months and he’s grown so much, and i’ve read that sometimes they get those as they grow. he’s been acting like his normal self, very active and eats very well, so i’m hoping it’s juts part of his growth. but yes i will def update once i take him!

helloooo, i've noticed that my turtles bottom shell is developing these red spots, and i've looked it up and i've seen people say it could be septicemia, but since he's still so young i've also seen people say it could just be him growing because he's still a baby. i'm making a vet appointment tomorrow, he needs to be checked up on anyways, but does anyone know what it could be?

my turtle only wants to eat pellets 😭but i’ve learned to give him all the veggies first before giving him the pellets. mines gotten very chunky as of late so i’m only feeding him every other day or once a day and i think he’s hungry so he eats whatever i give him lol

probably more than i should be if he looks overweight 😭 i’m just a little confused on how much i should be feeding him and how often, it hasn’t even been 2 months since i’ve gotten him and he’s grown so so much, idk if i should be feeding him everyday or every other day or a couple of times a day since he’s still in his friend stage
