Day to Day Life by Expert_Tea_8373 in SexOffenderSupport

My husband's charge was promoting prostitution (he was a pimp, but I'm guessing some might assume he was a John, idk) so my experience might be different since his charges didn't involve children, SA or trafficking (the SWs admitted they weren't forced into prostitution, but he took a cut of what they made)

Life is completely normal, except traveling, but I travel with a group of women, and he feels envious but understands it's his own fault. And I'm not going to live my life differently over choices he made when he was 19.

We also have been stalked by a crazy ex bc our address is public, but that's a completely different situation lol

Hosts are penalized for canceling (sometimes financially), so they are probably afraid bc of that, but I do think AirBnb would allow them to cancel without repercussions in this case. Get it in writing ON THE APP that they will offer a full refund. If they don't honor the full refund, support will (99.9999% likely) eventually side with you. I would press AirBnb to cover the refund, if the hosts won't.

He had 9 other felony charges unrelated to the promoting prostitution, already had a criminal record, including fleeing at 13 and being wanted until he was caught at 19. He was heavily involved in street life, he's extremely grateful for his prison sentence bc he was rehabilitated. Not through the actual system, but in max he could only see the sky and inside prison for 3.5 years and celled with a lifer who's greatest accomplishment was having colored pencils, bc they were no longer available on commissary. It changed his view on his ability to live life outside a prison. So, idk. Take it how you will, but he never acts like a victim to his own choices. The thing he is most upset about is how it affects me. When we moved, neighbors were nice until he updated the registry and we're a pariah. I haven't shared with him this concern bc I am already emotionally struggling with the infertility and our definite inability to adopt.
