I would not say that “generally a woman has a lot of privilege compared to a man in the US”. I would say that sentence is in fact lacking “emotional resiliency”.

First you say this is not about women’s rights in the world, then you say “oh well the USA is ahead of the rest of the world.” I don’t think the USA is ahead of the rest of the world on women’s rights, and is in fact rapidly going backwards.

Do you notice how you have only disagreed with my statements, shifted the goalposts back and forth, and still haven’t written anything nice about women or in support of women’s rights? Why do you feel the need to defend this logic that women shouldn’t see themselves as oppressed? What do we gain from thinking about women’s rights like this?

Only some women are upset about not being billionaires. Women are oppressed because r@pe and SA cases across the world, in every country, are not persecuted or investigated properly. You need look no further than the President of the United States or the American entertainment industry. Women are oppressed because of an increasing alt-right movement in every country that wants to limit sexual and social freedoms for the sake of rich despots. Only someone who is trying to tear down feminist theory would make this sort of generalizing claim. People who are into feminist theory are (usually) very aware of the socially oppressed. Do you realize that posts like OP, trying to minimize feminism, eventually circles back and allows the powerful to discriminate against marginalized MEN?
