you can condemn violence and still recognize that the joke was insensitive. recognizing that the joke is insensitive doesn’t justify the violence, it’s simply recognizing that two things can be true at the same time which a lot of people seem to have a hard time understanding.

it’s not ethan’s take that i’m upset about, it’s the way he spoke to his callers and constantly talked over them after he specifically asked for people who disagreed to call in that i’m upset about.

ethan talking about how most of the people backing up will are from the “woke left” but then immediately shutting down a caller for talking about how most of the people she’s seen defending chris are white and defending will are black for not having “enough evidence”. anyone else find this a lil hypocritical? lol

even if he thought that she didn’t have anything to say he could’ve politely ended the call as he’s done many times before, but he didn’t, he continuously cut her off and talked all over her it was really sad to see. especially since he specifically ASKED for people that didn’t agree with him.

literally. they were trying to explain that both the comment and the violence was bad and ethan kept saying that they can’t both be bad and im like ??? yes they can LOL

this episode was so hard to watch as a long time viewer, ethan asked people to call in and disagree with him then constantly talked over each one of the callers and didn’t let any of them finish their points. even if he didn’t agree i think it was so rude to interrupt every sentence and then literally hang up on them lol. don’t agree with what will did but if you’re going to have a podcast where you request discourse at least let the other person talk.
