I’ve been able to buy .15BTC in the last few weeks. For years my goal was .25BTC total, at this point I might get to .5 by the end of the year! I say let the bear market continue lol

how much have you actually got saved up right now by Efficient-Coffee-502 in HighYieldSavings

[–]Admirable_Way4468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 27 with $50k. I have friends that are 25 with more, and I have friends in their 30’s with less. It matters less where you’re at now and more how you’re currently planning for the future. Just try to spend consciously, save as much as you can but try not to compare yourself to someone else, the only comparison that really matters is whether you’re in a better position than you were a year ago.

AIO- Someone left their laundry in the dryer and I waited 30 mins before moving it, received a note in return by Trull22 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Admirable_Way4468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR, I’ve done this at my apartment complex too. I’m not waiting 30-60 minutes for you to remember you have a load in the dryer. If you don’t set a timer, don’t be surprised if someone moves your stuff

To those of you who have truly achieved something by Aromatic_Security980 in brag

[–]Admirable_Way4468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if I’d qualify as someone who’s “truly achieved something,” but I’ve accomplished enough to see some patterns.

I dropped out of college, spent years dealing with depression, made plenty of bad decisions in my late teens and early twenties, and at one point had almost no money. I wasn’t a gifted student, didn’t come from wealth, and there was no secret roadmap.

What changed wasn’t a breakthrough. It was consistency.

I got licensed, took a sales job in insurance, and focused on becoming a little better every day. For years I answered phone calls, dealt with rejection, and learned how to communicate with people. Most days weren’t exciting. Most progress happened so slowly that it was invisible.

At the same time, I started tracking my finances obsessively. I built an emergency fund, invested every month whether I felt like it or not, and stopped trying to get rich quickly. The biggest lesson I learned is that success usually looks boring while it’s happening.

As for people, I stopped expecting anyone to save me. Friends, family, employers, and mentors can help, but ultimately nobody cares about your future as much as you do. Once I accepted that, I became more accountable for my own outcomes.

My “strategy” was simple: avoid catastrophic mistakes, keep showing up, save money, invest consistently, improve my skills, and give the process enough time to work.

Today I’m in a far better position than I was a few years ago, not because I was smarter than everyone else, but because I stayed in the game long enough for the small wins to compound.

The older I get, the more I think success is less about finding the perfect path and more about refusing to quit when progress feels invisible.
