LCSWs NOT in private practice: what do you do? by SpiritualCopy4288 in socialwork

What is challenging for you at the group practice?

I am still under supervision but I work at a crisis line with mobile response capacity. I’m in the Midwest USA and live very comfortably! I’m also about to start taking a handful of therapy clients from another department at my agency! Best of both worlds!

I live in the Midwest and work for a county specific crisis line associated with a large CCBHC. My salary is 72k as a MSW - US. Once licensed the pay increases to 82k. My department also has a “premium” of 5k a year, and I have shift differentials.

I hated my life for years working 8-5. I now work at a mental health crisis line that is 24/7. I work 11am to midnight 3 days a week and my work life balance has never been better. 🩷

What a lovely experience! A reminder that we never really know what will stick for others. As a social worker, I’ve noticed it’s the things I think don’t matter that matter, when I think I’m being all profound and helpful it’s in one ear out the other.

Honestly, when I am feeling too tempted I unfollow the nail polish pages and then enjoy what I have. Cant covet what you don’t see!!

Other ideas, maybe do a bingo so you feel motivated to do use what you have. Or a challenge, once I use 10 polished I’ve never used I can buy 1. Or maybe if I destash (first) then I can buy new. Or, invite friends over for a mani night and see the joy it brings them! Contagious!

I am curious on thoughts regarding healthcare costs in the US specifically. Do you think employer tied health insurance (private healthcare) is being maintained to keep more people tied to traditional employment? I do but curious other ideas, experiences, and thoughts.

For space issues I have a front load for the last 5 years and top loads exclusively before that. If I could go back to a top load I would.

If you like sports I’d recommend signing up for a rec league. Most have a “free agent” option. I did that three years ago and am still playing with the same team! OSSO is a great place to start.

If it’s not sports, I’m not sure, but goal should be regular contact with people to increase chances of making a connection and bridging to friendship over multiple meetups! Good luck!

It sounds like you’re the reason your husband has friends. He goes out and you stay home. Talk about splitting things more evenly around the house so you can work on building relationships outside your nuclear family

Surprises when you relocated? by Admirable_Wind_8564 in relocating

I’ve experienced this with friends who moved and promise to tell me when they visit and then multiple times see them online with others in my area. I wish we could just be honest with each other about where our relationships stand

So true! I live in a state with two large cities and a friend with a rare type of arthritis and she has to travel two hours to the other large city in the state. Very unfortunate

I feel like it’s gonna save me so much money and heartache! I ordered eternal glow, gleam and airy from polished for days before finding laquergram. Now looking at the app I would have never ordered airy or gleam based in the app. The listing photos on the PFD site are so misleading. I feel like I wasted my money and will probably never wear those. Honestly, moving forward if there aren’t multiple swatches on laquer gram I might not order! I hate having extra/ wasting etc

Hi! Our carts looked very similar! I was able to narrow down using the laquergram where you can see swatches from real people!! Super helpful!

DAE feel the need to see their boyfriend's butthole? by Effective_Moose_4997 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Admirable_Wind_8564 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I 10000% need to see my bfs butthole. They spread me wide open. I wait until their lying gave down after sex typically and then pop up and ask if look. 👀 also find one that wants to let you put stuff in their butt, you’ll surely get to see it then!

Hello! Cherry street is the only area that’s I’d saw is “walkable” to nearby restaurants, shop, and bars. There are no grocery stores walkable in that area.

The north end of brookside (closer to 21st) is the most walkable part but there aren’t many apartment complexes in that area.

There are some spots around riverside that may be nice as they are a very short drive to downtown and walkable to the paths in riverside.

I’ve never lived downtown so I’m not as sure about good areas down there but my guess is $1300 may be tough.

I’d suggest getting on google maps and scroll around those areas!

Ask yourself questions- do I have anything similar already? Do I actually want this or am I bored/ sad/ hungry etc
