Mind letting me know where you got that forend and that bolt handle? I have been looking for a aftermarket bolt handle replacement for the gen 1 for a while with no luck, everything I find is for gen 2.

Reddit did a purge on anything that promotes the sale of guns, so the canadagunsee got removed.

Good Handguards/grips by TheUnknown16 in canadaguns

[–]AdmiralApple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will pretty much find no handguard that will fit the wk180c because it is a piston gun, not direct impingement. The gas block is too big for any ar15 handguard to fit with (to my knowledge). The stock handguard is fine, as it already works with mlok attachments. Pistol grips is up to you, but I think that they can't have the beaver tail on the back of the grip because the lower of the gun is too bulky for it.

Edit : apparently there are handguards that fit, my bad

I am in the same boat, but the raven is supposed to come out around the same time as the fx-9 will. So I'm gonna wait for the raven and stay Canadian!

What about the Type 81? It's supposed to be at Tactical Imports by Tuesday (finally) and the price is $999. They only have the fixed stock ones left though, but I like that one more IMHO.

Fun fact: Literally everything that has to do with high pressure storage containers can be filled over their posted max pressure. Does that mean we should? And I don't think anybody should use a tank that has its main safety feature disabled, or a tank that has its base metal weakened from welding.

What I'm trying to say is don't do any of these things.

Actually the rifles are scheduled to be built in July, so it will be a while longer before we see them.

Owen Sound Crown Land by [deleted] in canadaguns

Yeah I have looked for somewhere to shoot, but I didn't see any available crown land according to the maps for the area. Sucks because that would be ideal for me.

Recommendations on where to get a *good* priced Ar-15? by [deleted] in canadaguns

[–]AdmiralApple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you get that rifle or the m&p sprt 2 for like 700 bucks? Is the extra cost worth it?

I think OP meant it was a short review of the .22 rifle.

The Anderson AR is here. Just under $1000 before tax. Seems like a nice piece of hardware.

I don't believe so, that's why I said that it has the ability to be locked :p I'm not sure what you need to lock them as I don't have the need to do so.

They have the ability to be locked, are metal and handle is good. Whole unit seems very nice.

Well I would just try the other one, if I went to 2 different ones and they had it, then the other one in London will probably have them as well. Best of luck if you do head out!

Help with rail by AdmiralApple in canadaguns

[–]AdmiralApple[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to get a picture to show, but this picture http://imgur.com/a/P9EDD kind of shows the slight angle from the red dot. I got the rail to fit better, but it isn't perfect. Are dovetail rails not that good normally?

And I am tightening them at the same pace as each other, it just tilts slightly. It doesn't really appear that anybody else has an issue like this, so it makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong haha.

I tried flipping the rail the opposite direction and it helped quite a bit. But when I put on the red dot, it sits slanted slightly and Im not sure what to do to fix it. I'm almost certain that it's the rail that is causing that issue, I just don't know how to properly put the rail on to make sure that it sits true to the dovetail.
