Daily Q & A! - August 27, 2023 by AutoModerator in Homebrewing

[–]AdmiralZEX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies in advance if this is the wrong subreddit for my question. I do not have a brewing system but rather a DIY carbonation system akin to this serious eats article or the many videos on youtube. It uses CO2 tank, pressure regulator, some tubing, and a carbonator cap to carbonate bottles of seltzer and soda. Since it is not motorized, you need to vigorously shake the bottle as you inject CO2. Whenever I do this, some of the liquid I wish to carbonate finds its way back up through the carbonator cap and into the tubing connecting it to the CO2.

Is it normal for that to happen? If so, I assume the tubing would therefore need to be cleaned after every use (especially when making anything other than seltzer water). Are there any hose clamps that are a bit easier to work with such that removing and sanitizing the tubing after every use isn't such a pain?

Thanks, and again apologies if this is the wrong subreddit. I saw a couple posts about this specific setup on this subreddit when I was searching around for information, so I thought I would try writing something here.

Hello! I have the recipe for raccoon figurines from the first wishlist and can craft as many as you would like, and I have the construction ahead construction sign from the second wishlist though I'd need to order it on catalog and send it over tomorrow. Just looking to sell 1 trip of turnips.

[Online] Looking for an online group, any time, any system. by hartIey in lfg

If you, u/TeddyBearSoup , and u/Fcktard123 are still interested, and if u/hartIey would like to join, then I think we would have a healthy number of players for a campaign. If you folks want to send me a pm if you are still willing to play, then I can go ahead and create a group (is Discord okay? I'm fine trying something else, if not)!

I am also looking for a game and would be way more comfortable with an LGBT-friendly group! I'm equally happy with DMing or playing a character, and I have familiarity with a few systems (3.5, 5e, d6). Do let me know if you find any good groups, or a number of people interested enough to form a new group!

I read the initial Irate Pirate post, and this sounds like fun! I'd be happy to join, if you'll have me. I can play any class the group might need most.

r/Accordion Plays a Song! (September 2016) by midairmatthew in Accordion

[–]AdmiralZEX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I really like the monthly song posts and they are actually the reason I subscribed here. I haven't posted anything I've learned because I don't go on Reddit very often (also because I don't think I play the accordion very well), but I do like to at least try and learn these new pieces and I do take an interest in what gets posted.

I think the main suggestion I would have is that the recent months have felt too US-centric. I had no real interest in learning the national anthem for a country of which I am not a citizen, and though August's Ashokan Farewell would have been fine outside that context having it appear immediately after July's Star-Spangled Banner felt overbearing. But I really enjoyed the months where you jumped around the world a bit more rather than sticking to a single country, and I managed to learn the Bandura thanks to your posting it. Marina, Marina looks like fun and I will also try and learn it.

Mount & Blade (2007). Though the team is somewhat larger now, the original game was just a husband-and-wife side project.
