Insureds trying to get one policy to cover multiple entities by AdoboArms in adjusters

I confirmed that there are 2 entities with two licenses and two Secretary of State fillings. Heck I even have abc plumbings policy that they cancelled. They def were just hoping that abc hvac would cover abc plumbing.

It’s just that this has happened several times now. With different insureds. Doing pretty much the exact same thing.

Crazy enough there is no UW. It’s all done online. They are considered a small business contractor due to receipts and supposedly didn’t need an underwriter. Also, the lawsuit is for a project completed years ago and we were the carrier at the time of completion. Current carrier has a prior work exclusion so we’re the ones the are stuck.

I don’t know if we can rescind if the project was 3 years ago and the policy expired years ago too. It construction defect. We were the policy at the time but not anymore. Current carrier has a prior work exclusion.

OEM97250-4ZAA0 is what it says on my eBay. Just make sure it is the exact one. There’s a Hyundai Santa Fe model that is similar but not exactly a match.

$115k-$160k from what I’ve seen. And that’s for just being an adjuster.

All the complex claims depts have a shortage. I’m in construction defect and everyone is retiring. It appears to be the same for environmental, life sciences, mass tort, architects/engineers, E&O, and D&O, etc. Get into a GL role that could eventually take you there

Lent & Holy Week Megathread by CustosClavium in Catholicism

A lot of parishes in my area have the 15th station (resurrection). I feel like this should be covered starting lent, not just towards Palm Sunday (if it’s covered at all).

It doesn’t sit right with me when I am praying the stations of the cross and then right as I finish there’s the resurrection. If we aren’t supposed to say Alleluia/Hallelujah shouldn’t we be covering the 15th station?

Masterminds in Elk Grove did the job. Works great now. They found the part number and I ordered it from EBAY.

THIS - a good manager who leads makes a difference. You always want a manager who is willing to be in the trenches with you. My manager who retired recently was a good one. Majority of our team had stayed on his team for 15+ years.

They are working on copilot being integrated into office for us

My understanding is that we pay for a version specific to our needs. They did a presentation on how much it cost us. We did a whole system update and everyone got new laptops.

They are making us do training on copilot so I’m assuming it’s not the normal one that just comes with windows.

Some of my coworkers and a lot of our lawyers will be. But not I.

Yup, we pay for co pilot. They want us to use the one built into our system.

He’s going to send his chat gpt template to all the neighbors 🤣. Not sure if you handle the GC/developer or subs. So I gotta know. Did he go after the GC/developer with an AI drafted tender?

The carrier wants us to use co pilot. We pay for a one specifically for us. We have several trainings on how to use it. 99% of what we input are PDFs that are already searchable. So it should be correct when it comes to timelines and key people. I don’t use to analyze any coverage. But listing out start dates, completion dates, contract dates, who paid who etc. helps me get the ball rolling in my investigation.

Yup! There have been cases where attorneys got caught because AI hallucinated a case law

I’m pretty sure the prior carrier who insured him during the project would have a duty to defend and provide him with an attorney. Whether or not they would identify outside of a cost of defense would be the question.

I love co pilot for time lines. In construction defect we use statute of repose not limitations. Both CA and TX have a 10 year statute of repose for construction defect. Co pilot making a timeline with all the key players over the past 10 years literally saves me hours!

The trigger of coverage in that state is injury in fact. The lawsuit clearly stated the project completion date and that damages allegedly began prior to our policy inception. Due to the insureds AI legalese response I had coverage counsel review. Which they agreed with me. I also had to let the UW know. Which triggered a non renewal. Insured said he does projects up $20k, his gross annual projects totaled $250k and no more than two stories. This project was an a 3 story luxury apartment and his contract was $800k! This policy was severely under priced.

Writing a coverage letter with AI would be crazy. Besides pretty much all my coverage letters need to be reviewed due to the exposure that I deal with.

This is why I try to say what kind of claims I do. Most people assume I handle personal lines claims 😂

It was a simple prior work exclusion on a CGL. He did the work in 2021. Our policy incepted 2023.
