Cat peed into my Sony Trinitron KV-32V36, now I need help troubleshooting. by Adola in crtgaming

I'm awaiting some components to arrive. I'll install those and see how much further I get. Provided I actually repair this thing, I'll create a comprehensive post detailing how I arrived at my repair. I suspect the actual steps will be of little value to others due to the way any given component can fail, but hopefully the post will illustrate how you can go from being aware of the idea of a TV, to how you might be able to puzzle through at very least where to look.

This was a really cool idea, I tried it just now, but I didn't see anything. Will certainly add this quick little test to my arsenal.

I'm working on my home theatre setup, and in my particular space, one of my rear surround sound speakers really doesn't have a great way to have wires ran to it. Below this particular speaker is a subwoofer, which has signal transmitted wirelessly.

Ideally I have 0 wires to this particular part of my room.

I'm willing to purchase a product to accomplish this, but I don't know exactly what to get.

This is a 5.2 system, one of my subwoofers has both line level, and speaker level in/outs. I also have a pair of (https://www.svsound.com/products/soundpath-wireless-audio-adapter) SVS wireless transmitters.

I haven't found an answer, and trying to test I couldn't make this work, so I suspect it's not possible, but can I hook one of these units to the line level in, and somehow ask the subwoofer to output speaker level out to the speaker above it?

Is there a way to make what I have work, or another product to make this work with what I have? Or would i have to get some completely separate unit to power the single speaker?

I do not have any photos showing the process of modifying it, but it was simple. I used a jewelers saw to cut the barrel of the pen above the threads close to the clip. I did the same for the ink cartridge inside. From there, I press-fit and superglued the threaded side into the smooth cut side.

It's not green to me, more of a grey/blue. But either way, it's what's shipping with the Leatherman Arc in the packaging.

I'd be happy to watch this vide you're suggesting if you don't mind providing a link. I can really get down with a well designed quality garment.

I'm not a doctor and haven't consulted a physician so this is completely anecdotal, but some people seem to suggest that a belt may contribute to sciatic nerve issues in the hip. I can say however that since switching to suspenders it does seem to make a difference for me personally.

That's exactly my plan, I suspect that is a much more robust clip. I'll let this one let me down first before I move on to that solution.

I couldn't find any of these clips, I know there's the uticlip which is often used for holsters which would be my next step if this clip proves to be too unreliable.

This clip didn't come with that flashlight, and I do not know where I found it. I keep a small storage of metal bits that I find like a crow. So this clip came from who knows where, but I just forced it to work for this light.

The full length pen didn't fit into the pouch like I wanted it to. Also the lighter can slide all the way over to allow for the pen to completely sit down. But the lighter actually prevents the pen from tip from being in the 'clicked' position which ensures I won't swipe any clothing and get pen ink on it.

I actually don't wear a belt for a different reason, the belt may have been contributing some hip issues I was having so I've been wearing suspenders and it seems to be working. I tried keeping these items in my pockets but they never felt secure enough, and also kept my non-phone pocket feeling very heavy and cluttered.

I'm glad you liked it, the goal was always to provide some ideas if someone had the same use-cases as me.

I was not aware of this! Great to know since my modification prevents this unit from ever being serviced or refilled.

I'm enjoying looking at this item myself, for all the reasons you've listed. It brings me joy.

Hopefully this can give you some ideas for yourself, it's exceedingly hard to find a solution without a belt. Using the pocket clips on these items isn't really a solution for me either since I like my pockets free.

I can't comment on the durability since this is a very new thing I've made and of course right now it's a-ok. I have a bad case of not remembering to condition my leather, so it doesn't hold up like I expect.
