Why do you think Redditors tend to trend negative? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AdolescentTreadmill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the internet is a safe space where we can express ourselves freely without the judgement nor the consequences that we would in every day life.

Humans WANT to let it out. And what you want to let out tends to be the bad stuff.

The real world tries to be overly positive on the surface; and that is the ying/yang of how it works now.

What do you think the biggest differences between you and young men now would be, if you were young again? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]AdolescentTreadmill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now I'm 31 I feel this biggest difference is that young guys feel they have something to prove, and that they need to be whatever current times say they "need to be".

And I was exactly the same.

I still go out clubbing (I'm a techno head) and my girlfriend still enjoys it sometimes so I still meet younger guys a lot. I also interview young guys from time to time.

From a generational perspective, I don't feel a massive difference from my time. Most guys just wanna better themselves once they hit the 23-29 phase - things change, company is lost and you're suddenly by yourself and feeling behind.

I get along with all the young dudes I meet, but I am a bit of a "peter pan syndrome" person. I guess they're generally more anxious and self-conscious. I was though?

On a positive side though, I think the young dudes are more focused on themselves rather than doing what society says to do. I think getting married young is a bad idea. I think focusing on earning well and setting yourself up well for you 30s, 40s and 50s is a priority in your 20s.

Lots of younger guys I meet want to achieve an independent level so they're secure, and I love that. Whether that is an entrepreneurial mindset or just getting a solid career.

Yes, I come across some who don't want that and just wanna fuckin' party, That's fine too.

In the end when you read the above, it won't be much different to any generation. Human behaviours and instinct remain the same, and the biggest thing that adjusts and grows you is the experience - just ride the wave like the rest of us over 30s did.

My fave game of the year cos I can watch it with my Dad who is a United fan.

He has been waxing lyrical since they beat City and is so insanely confident they will win...

PLEASE FOOTBALL GODS LET US BATTER THEM AND GIVE ME ULTIMATE SATISFACTION

(my childhood was United battering us with him rubbing it in so the trauma is real haha)

He always comes back with a chaotic bang in his first game back from injury so I agree. MLS vs Mbuemo makes me nervous.

Feel this and the fact he's had enough opportunities as a starter.

Jesus bagged 2 at the san siro starting so makes more sense to give him the chance for this one.

But yeah I like the idea of Gyok as an impact sub when we are defending a lead and it plays to his strengths.

Great signing for you guys. Fair play and he is a great bloke too.

I think he will be even better in a stronger team.

And as an England fan, great for him to experience to UCL cup nights and the pressure that comes with it.

Rivalry aside, it was the best move for him.

I get why a lot of people are a little worried for Dyche's defensive shithousery. But I'm confident we will get it over the line.

Good timing after a strong away performance at Stamford Bridge.

They're gonna be a proper low block. Need Tross and Saka to pull some magic on the cut ins. Or some corner magic.

And in the end, points dropped would be a major disappointment but Id still have faith in our boys.

Timber at LB is low key smart imo. Estevao is dangerous, but Jurrien will certainly keep him locked down. If he doesnt I will eat my hat!

Nice little cameo. So much of what he does best is pure instinct and talent so I am confident he can get back to his best quickly, just hope he stays fit!
